"Sarah! " I heard my friend yelling my name I just didn't want to leave my house.... it felt so safe, I needed the safety it was important. There was a horrible feeling growing but I don't know what It could be about, wait never mind yes I do.... its from where I was about to go.
Sarah Emily, 15 years old and on my way to what could possibly my demise. Yup that's correct, I'm "willingly" going to explore to a house that may have a flipping poltergeist . Okay so pretty much my best friend forced me to go with her and explore a house that's had many disappearances and murders, but of course she doesn't believe the rumors.... She's a fu- uh I mean a freaking idiot.
"Alyssa..... why do we have to do this." complaining was something Alyssa could not tolerate so I did it just to annoy her, she is dragging me to the middle of the woods to find a murder house after all. She stops dead in her tracks just turn around and look at me, moving the her dyed blue hair out of her face as she states.
" Okay one don't start that, two we're doing this because it may be fun." Her amber eyes glistening in the sun now, she puts on a smug face, "wait... don't tell me you actually believe the crap about the murders and disappearances, that's all a bunch of bull to keep kids away."
"Okay so what if I do, its better safe than sorry"
"No way! Sarah, there is no such things as ghost so if there is a person there I can scare them off. Its why I brought so much self defense stuff, but I'm pretty sure we'll be fine."
"Alyssa, think about it, there were actual pictures of the people who supposedly went missing or died there, and none of the confirmed deaths could be normal homicides committed by actual people."
Getting annoyed that I'm trying to persuade her its to dangerous she looks me dead in my blue eyes and says, " Nothing. Will. Go. Wrong. Okay? Now come on its a long walk" I then sigh in defeat and follow after the fearless and most likely idiotic 16 year old girl who may actually kill me one day... Anyways as we walked I kept wanting to turn back, and every time I came close to leaving I also got the feeling I shouldn't leave Alyssa alone as if something may happen to her if I do.
We continued until we finally reach the edge of the woods about 45 minutes later, ( both our parents were out of town so Alyssa didn't have a car to use) witch meant waking up at a 5:30 A.M was a good Idea cause its now around 7 A.M. I asked if we could take a break walking though city was just annoying and I wanted to sit for a second, Alyssa said we could take a five minute break witch was enough for me to gain enough energy to walk for another 2 or 3 hours (maybe more). As we started walking I thought I heard someone whisper my name but when I turned around no one was there, to me that seemed liked a bad omen then I started thinking more.
On our way there, 2 black cats had walked past I didn't think about it at first but I realized that was also bad. The walk was just terrifying, the animals continuously made sounds out of no where causing me to jump and Alyssa laugh, I kept tripping on random roots that popped out of no where, and worst of all Alyssa was completely unharmed. She walked as if nothing was in her way or it was just the two of us, there was only one time where skirt go caught on a branch but that was all. Soon she was completely out of my sight mainly because I was slowed down from the falling down and getting smacked in the face, I thought she would be fine since I'm the with apparent bad luck. I was proven wrong when I heard her scream and it startled me because she rarely ever get scared, neither would she scream if it were something normal. I started running towards her only to find that her sleeve somewhat ripped and some blood of on her shoulder, she was also in a ditch, a detail that I for some reason noticed last.
"Alyssa Are you okay? I thought you were actually injured." My only concern was that she might have sprained her ankle and I may have to help her walk back. Looking at me, then looking back at the cloth in her hand she says "I'm fine I fell and a branch caught my shoulder, hurt my ankle a bit but nothing too serious." She stood up and climbed out, dusting off her skirt and grabbing her bag, she starts to walk off again nearly leaving me behind. We've been walking for about an hour and half with a couple of two to three minute breaks in between, never thought doing cross country would ever prove useful. I checked my phone and saw that it was 8:15 I put it back in my pack and continued walking, however the second I put my phone back I felt the odd feeling that someone was watching us from the shadows.
We walked another fifteen minutes before a thought hit me, Alyssa never told me, one how she knew where the house was, and two how long it was going to take. "Alyssa, hey- yeah. Um, you never mentioned how you knew where the house was, may I know?" I was a little confused so I figured I would ask. "Oh yeah sorry, You know that Alex girl right? Well she said since I'm pretty fearless she would only tell me. Apparently she was running around and playing with her brothers, going pretty deep into the woods. She claimed to have stumbled upon the, although she wasn't exactly sure if it was the correct house."
I'm now looking at her completely baffled, I mean I understand why she trusted Alex she is one of the most trust worthy people in the world. Still even Alex wasn't one hundred percent sure, Alyssa looked at me and saw my annoyance and confusion, to witch she continued. "She showed me a photo of the house she found and the one on the internet and they looked the exact same." I am now annoyed but I also wanted to know how far it was so i asked, "Sarah, its far I mean it might be around 10:30 once we get there." Great another two more hours of walking in the woods....
A little over two hours we reached the two story house but for some reason I was petrified, I wasn't even frightened in the slightest. Its like the house somehow parallelized me from doing anything, and I don't normally get scared. I mean I'm not as brave as Alyssa, but things that make other shake may startle me for a second and sometimes more. Alyssa seemed to have the same feeling of fear because she froze, then slowly walked to the door and hesitantly opened it.
