  "But daddy, five hundred naira is too small nau!"

You could guess that was Sophie already, I mean who dash me liver?

We had arrived at school but Sophie as usual was insisting the lunch money given to her wasn't enough.

Perks of being the last born!

Dad eyes widened in mock horror

"I don't see how five hundred is too small for a fourteen year old, tell me, what exactly do you want to buy sef? Abi you want to buy the whole shop?" He asked casting her a curious look.

"But daddy, Reason am nau! You know resumption vibes and all that, I cannot just send one junior and be giving her five hundred naira, it's not done anywhere! It's not proper"

Nawa for this girl oh! Which one is resumption vibes again?

I've already pocketed the five hundred naira Dad gave me since, I just decided to stay back, yunno in case of incasity! If Sophie has worked her magic finish and dad ends up increasing her lunch money, me I must collect my own oh, if not we will enter the same trousers today.

"Wait oh! Abeg show me the the stomach you want to use to eat one five" My eyes widened in shock as I leaned back on the car.

  "Daddy it's not only me that would eat it nau! See ehn, me and my friends we're kinda organizing a... How would I put it?" She asked chewing on her lower lip "like a back to school party or something like that and we are to get some snacks and drink" she completed with a look that seemed to ask you get my point?

"And five hundred naira isn't enough to get gala and Capri -Sonne?" He asked with an incredulous look.

Sophie eyes widened in horror why I burst into laughter

Like is he fucking serious right now? Sophie...  Capri -Sonne and classmates.
I really don't see the connection between these three.

Sure hell Sophie's capable of taking it but not in front of her classmates, when she had a reputation to keep, Nah! it was like you were giving her a death sentence.

"Daddy you are disgracing me oh! Imagine me sending a Junior to get Capri -Sonne for me, what do you take me for?" She asked with widened eyes shifting uncomfortably from foot to foot more like hoping no body heard Dad say that, luckily for her the assembly was still going on which means we're late and students around were few.

I remembered the environment I was and my laugh dissolved into a scowl all I could think of was Vanessa.

"But I thought you used to love it?" Dad asked with a confused look.

"You said it your self dad, used that was then, not any more" she said emphasis on used, by simply looking at her you could tell she was fighting the urge to roll her eyes.
