🌹CHAPTER FORTY🌹

Alexander and I sit in the living room, neither one of us ready to go to the dining room to get something to eat. Besides, I don't feel like I can eat anything at the moment. He had made me sit down so that he could explain to me what had happened or what he remembers what happened.

It's not that uncommon for women to try to trick men and saying their pregnant when the child isn't even their own but someone else's. That is the greed in some. "Look, I swear I did not touch her. I was at the bar to help a friend. He wanted my opinions because he was opening up his first club and he wanted to know what I thought. That was the only reason I was there" He tells me.

I put my hand on his. "I believe you" I tell him and he gives me a sad smile but I know that this must be breaking him and that is why I need to be there for him like he has been there for a couple of days and just from the moment we met (or I met him and not when he met me when I was still young) he has been there for me.

I love him and this doesn't chance my feelings. "It was the night that I broke up with you and that pain of seeing you so broken and hurt broke me apart. I had to get something to dull the pain but I just needed you, yet you did not want me anymore and I had to make it look like we had broken up fro real. I got alcohol but it was only one glass before the phone ringed and I had to get back to the company, there was something going" He tells me.

"As I was about to stand up I felt dizzy and she was there to help and she told me her name and when I looked into her eyes I found them mysterious because I've only met two people with eyes like she had. Twin siblings. She offered to help me into my car and in my broken state I agreed and never thought much of it" He says.

"That was all I remember. I don't even remember making it to the car nor anywhere until I woke up in my bed the next morning. The company had been calling me all night since apparently I did not show up and I slept in my clothes. I swear to you, Rose, that I never did anything to her or with her" He tells me and I nod my head.

This situation that we're in is not a comfortable one and while we can't even get a rest from everything, I know that we have to deal with this. "I know. I believe you but whether that woman is pregnant with your child or not, this is something that you must think about. We both do" I tell him with a sad smile on my face.

"Alexander, some day we're going to be married. Whether that is with a child of yours or not but that is something that might happen and we need to think about that-" I tell him but I'm cut off by him taking me in for a hug and nearly crushes me.

"How did I get so lucky to have you? I truly don't deserve you" He whispers to me and I smile. "I think you have it the other way around" I tell him in the hug which he chuckles to and breaks it. "I think you need something to eat, I can hear that stomach from a mile away" He tells me.

I have been rather hungry for some time now but that doesn't matter to me. Not when there is so much going on. But he needs someone and I want to be there for him and love him the right away. "All right, lead the way" I tell him and take his hand once again and we stand up.

Alexander had asked a couple of doctors to see if the child was truly real and if she was pregnant or not. He had his doctors which he pays a fortune to have and they are the best doctors in the world. We wait in the waiting room while the tests are being brought in which should not take that long.
