"Adelaide Faye Ward, where did you put my slickening gel?" Draco called after me as I ran.

"I haven't done a thing, Draco," I said innocently, looking over my shoulder.

Running really did nothing for me as Draco's legs were longer than my own, but I still bolted down the West Wing and turned to go up the North. Draco accused me of stealing his slimy gel that made his hair slick back, a thank you would have sufficed instead of a full body workout.

"I need my gel, Ward," Draco said, reaching out to tug my hair.

"Draco, let go," I shouted as he pulled me back by my hair. "And besides I'm doing you a favor, Malfoy! Now, you won't look like a slimy lizard, but more like a drowned rat."

Reaching my hand up, I shook out his loose white locks. His hair looked much better out, I never knew why he slicked it back so much.

"Adelaide, we leave tomorrow," Draco whined. "I need my hair products."

"No," I said and slipped under his arm towards my room.

"You'll see, Lady," said Draco, his voice cold and angry.

And that I did. Quintzy woke me up at eight in the morning so we could get ready to get on the Hogwarts Express, but this time it felt different. The timid house-elf looked terrified and worried, then when I sat up, something fell off my shoulder and onto my lap. Looking down, I let out a blood curtling scream.

"Draco Lucius Malfoy, I will murder you with my bare hands," I bellowed, flinging the duvet off my body and marching through our drawing room to his door.

The door was locked and I shot Quintzy a sharp look demanding she unlock it at once. Once she did, I saw Draco looking smug as he placed the last few items into his trunk.

"Looking good, Adelaide," Draco smirked.

"You cut off my hair," I shouted.

"I'm doing you a favor, Ward," he mocked me in a high-pitched tone.

"One, I do not sound like that," I seethed, "and, two, cutting off almost fifteen inches of my hair is nothing compared to misplacing your gel! You can buy new gel, I can't buy new hair!"

"Oh," Draco breathed.

"Yeah, oh! I will—"

"Adelaide? Draco? Is everything alright, dears?" Narcissa said from outside of Draco's door.

"Yes," Draco called out as I shouted, "no."

Narcissa promptly came in and gasped as she saw my uneven, half shoulder length hair. And oh, the lecture Draco got.

"You're lucky I look good with short hair, Malfoy," I growled as we went into our usual compartment.

"How many times do I have to apologize, Lady?" Draco sighed.

"Apologizing isn't going to make my hair grow back fast enough," I snapped.

"Lady, your hair is so cute," Pansy gasped as she saw us. "What made you cut it?"

"Draco Malfoy over there decided I needed a quick change, so he helped," I said through gritted teeth.

"Well, Draco, your hair looks nice, too," Pansy nodded.

Rolling my eyes, I took the seat nearest to the window and watched as the London scenary changed to fields and orchards. Crabbe and Goyle complained about being hungry and soon the Honeyduke's trolly came. The two boys ordered one of everything, each, and Pansy bought a rare sandwich. Narcissa had packed Draco and me a small meal being that all the trolly ever held was sweets.
