For the seven years I've been at Hogwarts, I had only gone home for Easter once and it was for the news of me getting unofficially adopted by the Malfoys. This year, Draco and I Flooed to the Manor on the summons of Lucius Malfoy, who wanted to spend the holidays with his two children.

"The Dark Lord wasn't home for Christmas," I said quietly into Draco's ear as we walked to Slughorn's office. "Do you think he'll be there for Easter?"

"I don't know, Lady, but Dad's summons seemed more sentimental than business," said Draco.

I hummed in response as Draco knocked on Slughorn's office door. Being that Professor Slughorn was our Head of House, it made sense we used the Floo Network through his office than anyone else's. With a handful of powder, I threw it into the oversized fireplace and shouted, "Malfoy Manor."

Instead of going into the fireplace in the entertainment room, I travelled into a new room: It was dark purple and full of portraits with a large crystal chandelier from the high ceilings. The room was cold for the fire wasn't on and the Malfoy couple sat in separate chairs reading books.

"Good evening," I greeted them.

Narcissa quickly stood up and placed her book on her chair before running over to me with a tight embrace as though I didn't see her four months ago. From over her shoulder, I saw Mr Malfoy standing up, painfully, with his cane in hand. A blaze of flames roared from behind me as Draco fell through fireplace.

"Mother, you're suffocating her," Draco chuckled from behind me.

"I'm sorry, I've just missed you both so much," she said sadly and hugged Draco as well.

"How have you been, Mr Malfoy?" I asked, walking away from the reunited pair and towards the sofa next to Lucius.

"As good as I can be, Adelaide. And you?" his voice sounded strained and sad. I felt for him.

"My studies have gone well," I said with a small smile. "Alchemy is a challenge, but a welcomed one."

"Naturally," he sighed. "Draco, and you?"

Looking away from Lucius, I looked over to Draco and Narcissa— quite funny as he was much taller than her despite her taller than average height.

"Adelaide is a big help in our studies. I've got top marks next to her, especially since Granger isn't in school anymore," Draco mumbled the last bit.

I sighed softly and stood up, "as lovely as our conversation is going, I'd like to excuse myself. It's good to be home, but I'm very tired."

"Of course, of course," Narcissa said quickly and began to push Draco and me out of the drawing room. "Off to bed, you two. Quintzy will bring you a late supper."

Draco and I spent most of our Easter holidays in our own study, instead of spending time with his parents as Lucius had wanted us to. After I found out Luna Lovegood was being held in the cellar, I was too upset to leave my room. When Narcissa found out why I was being sharp, she asked me to forgive her for they were the Dark Lord's orders. I did, but Draco and I were never summoned to dinner or asked to be with his parents until the end of the week.

A soft crack resonated in the room causing Draco and me to look over at Quintzy.

"Mistress Malfoy had requested your audience in the North drawing room, Miss Lady— Master Draco," she said nervously.

"Any particular reason?" I said curtly. I was still slightly upset I wasn't allowed to visit Luna in the dungeons.

"Quintzy is not told why Miss Lady and Master Draco have been summoned, but Quintzy can assume it is to spend time with family," she answered wisely.
