Prelude

Laserblast. A great hero of POINT. He and his teammates protect the city from evildoers. Laserblast can use his helmet to shoot lasers at his enemies and he's an excellent brawler. Also, shooting laser isn't his only weapon. His true power is to drain the powers from his foes.

That skill of his got his teammates out of countless binds. However, despite that, Laserblast wanted something that is more stronger than his own powers.

His girlfriend, Silver Sparks who is a junior hero of POINT, always told Laser so many times that he should be content with the powers I already had.

Laserblast was always plagued by dissatisfation. As he was comforted by Silver Sparks, Laserblast looked back at her. She gave him a reassuring smile. To Laserblast, he questioned how she can possibly understand that her own power is vastly superior than his own.

Laserblast had no choice but to decide make his own efforts to obtain new powers. During his in between missions, Laserblast studied bioengineering and conducted experiments in his own lab in secret. He knew that POINT would never approve his efforts on obtaining new powers.

But one day, after Laserblast left his secret lab, Dr. Greyman found his experiments in his secret lab and informed his teammates including Laserblast.

During the emergency meeting, Dr. Greyman told everyone what he discovered. Little did they know, Laserblast became concerned about Greyman's discovery.

"Hello, there! Bet you're wondering why I've gathered you here so soon," said the alien hero. "Well, I discovered a lab belonging to an unknown villain... and inside were these weapons."

The fedora wearing alien opened the briefcase and levitated the weapons that looked like orbs.

Three junior members became amazed by those weapons created by an unknown villain.

"They don't look like much." said Laserblast.

"Just allow me to demonstrate. Stand back!"

Everyone made a step back so Dr. Greyman can demostrate of those weapons' powers.

The first one can explode and create a black hole. The second one can shrink its target to subatomic levels.

" And this one, this one here?" Dr. Greyman held the red orb in his hands. "I don't know! I was hoping, with your input, we could figure out just what this little guy—"

The gray alien was interrupted by a sudden explosion after he unawarely touched the red orb.

"Doc!" shouted Foxtail and Laserblast.

Dr. Greyman coughed after the unexpected explosion. Laserblast came towards the alien. "Doc, are you all right?"

"Yeah, I'm fine."

Everyone expressed their relief to see Dr. Greyman okay.

"Yep, just need my hat. C'mere, you." Greyman used his levitating powers to get his fedora, however nothing happened. Much to his shock, he couldn't believe his eyes. "My powers... They're gone!"

Everyone became shocked to find out that third weapon caused an explosion and took Greyman's powers away.

"How is that possible?" asked Silver Sparks.

Foxtail tried to assure Greyman, "Hey, don't worry, Doctor. It's probably temporary."

"Guess they were stronger than they looked," stated Laserblast. "What do you say we snag more before they fall into the wrong hands? We could even use them against our foes."

Foxtail strongly exclaimed as she disagreed with Laserblast's suggestion, "Absolutely not! I wouldn't wish this fate on our worst enemies! What we need to do is to find the rest and disarm them completely! We can't have this happen again!"
