Recovery.

The next morning came and Roxo was already awake looking over the mershark who still sleeping. Azul mewls as his brother was moving and tossing him around. Roxo tucks him back making the youngling falls asleep again. He kisses his brother's forehead.

He swims over to the mershark checking over him. Touching his cheek, the colours are settling again in his skin. Which makes Roxo sighs in relief. He then swims out from the room, went into the kitchen where Aunt Zee was already in it.

The kitchen area was higher than the rest of the room. Making it possible to lit the fire as theres large air bubble there.

Aunt Zee was cooking something in her pot over the fire. Half of her body was in water,while the other half was mending the pot.

"Goodmorning Auntie,what're you cooking?"

"Mornin' Roxo, i'm just cooking some medicine to give to your mate"

Roxo blushes hard,"he..he's not my mate!...yet..."he stutters.

"Ohh..shush you, from the story that you tell me, i'm sure he's already putting his imprint on you, look at your necklace, thats his courting gift for you"

Roxo was as red as aunt Zee's hair now, as he just realised of the meaning of the gift. He felt his heart tightened more with the feeling for the mershark.

"Here,take this concoction,make sure he drinks it all" she said to him giving the container.

Roxo nodded and swims downward going out from the kitchen area.

As he going into the room, he can heard that the mershark are groaning. He quickly rushes in, the sight nearly give him an heart attack and laugh too. Azul has been slapping Axel awake.

"Wake up,wake up!"

"Urghhh...pleasee...let me sleep,i needs it" Axel said trying to grab the youngling.

Roxo snickered. Making both of them look at the door.

"How are you feeling?" Roxo swims slowly approaching them. He sits at the end of the bed.

"I'm fine,just a little beat up,but thanks " Axel said smiling reaching his hand out to Roxo.

Roxo smiles and holds onto the alpha's hands. Azul laughs and patted his hands also which makes the both adult laughs.

"Here, have some medicine. My aunt makes it for you" Roxo help bringing the bowl to the mershark's lips.

"I'm sure it taste awful" Axel groans.
Azul swims to to take a peek at the concoction,"ewww, its green!!"

"Yeahh, thanks buddy" Axel laughs but drinks it anyway.

Aunt Zee then came in bringing some food for them."hey guys, have some breakfast" she put the trays of fishes down.

Azul quickly grab some small fish and feeds on it.
Axel took some and give it to Roxo and himself.

"Make sure to eat it all alright, i have to go to town, it was festival night,so i have to show myself and help with the preparation." Then she leaves the room. The front door can be heard closing.

Roxo then remembered that it was the festival where all the newly adult mers mates.

"What is the festival about?" Axel asked.

"It was for,mer partners to..."

Before Roxo could explain more, the room's door was opened, and Der cames in,smiling.

"Hi, goodmorning to all of you"

Axel not remembering this mer at all," who are you?"

"I'm Der" grabbing hold of his hand and shaking them" i help with carrying you here to aunt zee's house" He then takes a look at Roxo.

"Alright then, Roxo,will you be my partner tonight for the festival" he takes Roxo's hand and holds it.

Roxo was in shock."No,i'm afraid i'm not interested with being a partner with you" he shakes his hand off the hold.

Der's smile falters,"but you have no one, i'm the best mer is here, everyone wants me,but i wanted to choose you,you should be grateful for it." He trying to grab hold of Roxo's hands again.

"No,i'm sorry"

A loud growl makes Der lets go of Roxo.

"He said he doesn't want it,can't you heard him?" Axel growls loud. Azul shivered swimming fast holding his brother. Hiding his face near his neck.

Der was shivering under his skin "I'm sure he just playing hard to get here, thats alright,if you still want to go to the festival tommorow i can still take you around"

"He doesn't want to" Aunt Zee's voice can be heard from the door.

Making all of them stops all the confrontation.

Der huffs,"alright then,i have to go,make sure to tell me if you want to go then alright" he then leave the house.

The growling stops as Der leaves. Axel huffs in relief and he drops back toward the pillow behind his back. Azul take a peek back to the mershark.

"Hey, buddy i'm sorry. Come here" he reaches out his hand to Azul. Azul slowly swims back to Axel to his side.

Roxo sits again on the bed. Sighs at the confrontation. Still shivering at the memory but both in fear and in awe at the show of dominance by the alpha.

Later,both Roxo and his aunt are in the living room.

"He such a show off, he just want to have lots of admirers and omegas to himself...foolish ones will go to him..falling to his 'charm'.." Aunt Zee said waving her hands around.

Roxo snickers.

Just then a knock from the front door startles them both.

"Who is it this time!?" Aunt Zee shouted opening the door.

"Well don't be so angry to your mate like that.." one mer came in hugging aunt Zee tight. Aunt Zee was in shock to see her mate,then she just hugs back tighter. Smilling tearfully.

Her mate always travels alot. Always up for adventure,finding new things and treasures. She was one that Roxo idolizes when he was little. The purple haired mer then take a look at Roxo.

"Hey, Roxo. Its been a long time" she said letting go of her omega to reach for Roxo. Roxo swims to hug her. He was so happy that atleast he has both his aunts left in his family.

The next day.

"Are you sure you want to go out? We can just stay here" Roxo said helping Axel up.

"I'm better now, it will help me a lot to move around"

"Alright then, lets go"

Azul chirps happily following behind them.

"Be careful guys, we'll go also later" Aunt Zee yells from her room.

Not known to them that a certain mer was watching them from far.
