For most of his high school life, Jacob spent his hours all by himself. Sometimes, he hung out with his only friend Moon Bin. But he was his roommate and they only ever hang out at their room. Jacob wasn't bothered though. He liked to spend time with himself.

In his last year in high school, Jacob has managed to write a total of 12 original songs, none of which were heard by anyone. His songs were like his lifeline and he preferred not to let anyone hear them. Plus, he was too shy to share them.

The day was Thursday, the day after he participated in Operation JuRic. To be honest, Jacob didn't know most of the people there. He was only part of it because Sangyeon told him to. But like a stroke of luck, Jacob has taken a liking to those people. He really enjoyed their company and they were really nice to him, too.

After Jacob's last class, Jacob went straight to the Music Club room. Since he signed up for the club, he noticed that the room is empty every Thursday. Weekly exams are scheduled on Fridays, that's why students often choose not to do any club-related activities on the day before.

Sangyeon and his friends were busy studying to catch up with the time they lost planning for Operation JuRic. Jacob, however, was already done studying, so he decided to sneak into the club room and practice his music.

When Jacob entered the room, the lights were turned off. The room, though, was still lit brightly due to its wide glass window. Jacob went straight to the piano. He had a guitar in the dorm, so he came to the room to also practice his piano skills.

Jacob sat in front of the piano, feeling at peace being surrounded by the instruments in the room. As he placed his fingers on the keys, he felt the surge of life through his body. If someone asked Jacob when he truly felt alive, he'd give stories of him playing with instruments as an answer.

He started playing his new composition: a song about an old crush he's trying to forget. Jacob felt every word of it, because the song was about him, trying to forget about his feelings for someone.

As he sang, the memory of Kevin, the only guy he's fallen in love with, asking Chanhee out kept on playing in his head. Then, he remembered Kevin and Chanhee on a date. All the pain and ache kept on rushing that he couldn't help but cry.

The song ended and Jacob wiped his tears.

"Are you okay?" Someone from inside the room asked.

Jacob turned around, searching of who the owner of that voice was. But he knew all too well who that person was: Kevin.

Kevin appeared from the corner of the room. He sat behind the drum set that's why Jacob wasn't able to see him.

"K-Kevin?" Jacob stuttered, surprised by the encounter. "How long have you been here?"

Kevin smiled, the same on he flashed on Jacob when he was handing out the Art Club flyers on the first time they crossed paths. "Longer than you."

"D-did you hear all of that?" Jacob walked away from the piano.
