So maybe you'll get lost trying to understand some of the terms we use in my world. Here are some explanations of the terms that might leave you a little confused:
Chosen: People who do not need to the use of man-made devices to channel Spirit Energy. As a result of their unusual contact with Spirits, their physical appearances tend to stand out from normal Humans. They are very powerful,
Adept: Inverse of the Chosen. Without use of special items, man-made or Spiritual, they cannot fight against Spirits.
Forgers: These people have the ability to create useful items through the use of Spirit energy. They are all Chosen.
Shamans: People who make use of Spiritual items to channel Spirit Energy. They may or may not be Chosen.
Contractors: Humans who have somehow persuaded Spirits to fight for them. When asked about their ability or their Spirit, they simply say something like, "It is because of the Contract", hence the name. Like Shamans, the may or may not be Chosen.
Warlock/Witch: Chosen who have developed the ability to manifest minor miracles.
As the story goes on, there will be more. Hopefully the author explains those well enough. So yeah, good luck trying to keep up with me!
