“Hey little angel” said a hoarse voice, “where are you hiding?” She could almost hear the malignant smile align with the footsteps scurrying across the room. She tried her best to hide herself inside the closet full of clothes, clothes that smelled strongly of cologne, and perfume. Clothes that smelled strongly of him.

“I shall find you soon” he said in the sweetest voice, one fit for a musical concert, “and then you shall have to pay for it” The sharp cutting edge to the statement made her shudder with cold.

She could see from the little parting of the doors of the closet. He was stooping low to get the view under the bed. She had thought of hiding there but every time she hid there, he would find out.

“Come out, angel” he continued, now his facial expression showed a marked difference. She could tell, he was angry. “Come out to Daddy, come on...”

“I will touch you for a teeny-tiny bit and let you go soon if you stop hiding”

She held her breath tight and cupped her mouth with her hands to prevent herself from screaming.

“Alright! You won’t come out!” he was now roaring, his expression was that of a hungry wild animal sniffing for prey.

“It’s futile, you know, hiding from me.” He gave out a laughter like that of a lunatic and proceeded towards the cupboard now. He was whistling in mirth with the most sinister expression she had ever seen.
He held onto the handles for a second or two and roared “Huh! Here we go!”

The muffled sound of her heart beating out loud drowned her cries. The world was a small place perhaps and even worse it was a circle with no corner to hide. Her legs gave way, she sat down on the marble floor while he dragged her all the way up to his bed with heinous cruelty. Perhaps the world would end some day and with jt take away all her misery.
