We watched the sun setting and the diffused light gleaming our eyes. The poppies swayed in the light breeze and ours silence got soaked among them. She placed her hands slowly on mine and kissed my lips bringing alive all the memories, once again.
We marvelled at the panorama of darker colours setting around us and a twilight of passions sprung in our silence. We moved closer to each other that day, closer than we had actually thought we could. Her hair sprawled in the breeze . I thought of the multitude of words I had been dying to confess. I wanted to tell her how much I loved her still but I ultimately let it remain in our silence.
Then she stood up saying, "I think I should get going and so should you" and glanced at me passionately. She started drifting towards her home among the stars, to the place where she belonged now.
I longed to tell her that she was my home but we hardly had time together and it wasn't enough. It could never be enough.
