Harry was still holding my hand when we got to the resturaunt. We walked in and got seated at a table for two.
"Thank you so much for giving me a second chance." Harry said, rubbing his finger lightly over my hand, which he was holding, under the table. "Harry, thank YOU for giving ME another chance!" I corrected him. Really, it wasn't Harry's fault at all. It was me, and my emotions going crazy. All he did was smile at my comment. Within minutes the waitress came along and Harry and I ordered our dinner. I ordered a penne ala vodka, my favorite.
Harry and I sipped at out drinks and talked about a bunch of things. Out of the blue, Harry said, "I really like you, Cassidy..." and a cute smile came across his face. I felt my stomach do flips and felt my cheeks get heated. "I-I really like you too Harry," I replied. "You know, you're different than a lot of girls." Harry continued. A confused look came across my face, which basically asked him what he was saying. "I mean, it's a good thing... A lot of the girls around here are so full of themselves and only care about themselves and nobody but themselves," As Harry talked, I was trying to figure out how this was relating to me...
"What I'm saying is, you're not like them, and I actually really like you and I don't think I've ever felt this way about a girl after knowing her for just about a week." He explained. I didn't know how to reply to this, I mean the guy I liked was sitting in front of me telling me how much he liked me and all I could do was stare at him and search for normal words to say.... But I couldn't for the life of me.
Our waitress couldn't have come at a better time. She placed a dish in front of me, and one in front of Harry. Harry seemed to direct his attention to the food, thankfully.
We both dug into our food and talked only a little bit. Once we finished, we sat there looking through the dessert menu together. "Have you ever tried the rocky road brownie with hot fudge and caramel?" Harry asked. "Never even heard of it!" I answered. "Well, after tonight, it will be your new favorite thing in the world!" He said, closing the menu shut. Our dessert arrived and the waitress handed us each a spoon and we ate. "This was my favorite dessert as a little kid!" Harry told me. "My mom would take me here every friday after school and I'd eat this." He explained. I couldn't wipe the stupid grin off my face just from hearing Harry talk about something that made him so happy. He was really adorable. Everything about him was adorable and just made me genuinely happy.
When we finished every last crumb of our dessert, the waitress put the check on the table. Harry opened it and reached for his wallet. I took it out of his hand and pulled out money from my purse. "Uhm, what are you doing?" Harry asked me, taking the paper out of my hand and raising his eyebrows. "Well, I mean it's only fair I pay for mine" I told him. "What? No way! I'm paying!" Harry clearified. I still handed him the money.
"Cassidy... haven't you ever been on a date before?" He asked me, like it was so obvious.
"Actually... No." I said embarrassedly. I was sure Harry'd been on many, many dates before, and then there was me.
"Come on, you're telling me a boy has never taken you out on a date before..." Harry joked.
"Harry I'm serious... I've never been on a date before!" Now I was really embarrassed. "I've never really had an actual boyfriend so that's basically the reason why." I explained.
Harry stopped what he was doing and just stared at me. "Cassidy, you've got to be kidding me. YOU have never had a boyfriend before?!" Harry continued to ask me. "No Harry! I just told you, I've never been in a relationship!" I said. I didn't mean for it to come out as bitchy as it did but talking about this brought back memories of being back home. All my friends got the attention from guys and I rarely did, which upset me because I was pretty shy and never really knew what to say or do in front of guys. But, however, it was different with Harry. I felt like it was super easy to talk to him. I didn't need to act a certain way or anything, I was myself with him.
"I'm sorry, I just cannot believe it! I honestly cannot see why every guy in town isn't in love with you already..." Harry said. He sounded like he was joking but serious at the same time. "Well, thank you, Harry" I said. He just smiled and nodded slightly.
When Harry paid the bill, after insisting that I didn't we walked outside the resturaunt to wait for his mom to pick us up.
"Cassidy, I need to ask you something because I've really got nothing to lose here..." He said. He took my hands and looked down at me. I nodded, urging him to go on.
"Can I please be your first boyfriend?" He asked so politely.
I couldn't believe this! Harry just asked to be my boyfriend. Play it cool, Cass...
All I did was giggle and reached up around his neck and hug him tight. "Is that a yes?" Harry asked curiously. I nodded my head and smiled from ear to ear. Harry's dimple deepened on his cheek as his face got closer and closer to mine. He put his hands on my waist as mine grabbed onto the front of his jacket. Our lips collided. It was a pretty quick kiss but howver, it meant a lot. I felt wetness on my nose and I looked up to find the reason why. I saw white flakes falling from the sky. It was beginning to snow. I redirected my attention back to Harry and he chuckled and kissed me one last time. Every kiss with Harry got a little sweeter.
This was the start of something new and wonderful. :)
Sooo, whatcha thinking?! Please tell me how you're liking it! I'd like some feedback before I write the next chapter please :)
