jisung had a feeling he had a spit wad in his hair. that's what you get when you lock up students in a bus long enough for them to get bored. traffic is a real pain in the ass.

"don't even look at me, i'm not taking that out of your hair." hyunjin shook his head in disgust "do you know how many germs are in saliva? and i have a strong feeling that those guys don't even brush their teeth."

"what gave it away, the smell of unwashed ass coming from their mouth or the piss yellow stain of their teeth." the brunette muttered, searching for the wad in his thick hair.

"oh no, none of them. i sat next to them for a semester. they talk to themself a lot." he shivered at the flashbacks "never again."

the teenage boy looked out of the window, beholding the view of myoi corp. one of the biggest science companies in both japan and korea and the visit for their field trip.

when they stepped in the futuristic building, the place had brought back fond memories from last year. unless you count getting bit by a radioactive spider and gaining powers as fond.

"this place is so cool." hyunjin breathed excitedly. his eyes sparkling with wonder after seeing inside of the science building. "can't believe you got your powers here. maybe a radioactive kangaroo will bite me."

jisung frowned "why a kangaroo?"

"have you seen how buff those guys are? i need some muscle in me, i'm tired of going to the gym."

"we went to the gym once and all i remember was you lifting a 2kg dumbbell and taking a nap."

"hey, i know they mislabeled that dumbbell. it was definitely at least 5kg."

"it was built like a pencil."

"you don't know how heavy pencils can be!"

"shh!" the two best friends had been violently shushed by their fellow classmate eric. that goody two shoes. their tour was beginning to start.

the interior was even better than last year. the company was developing super cool stuff that even mr park jr would be jealous of. after seeing the cloaking devices, icer guns and developed tech left behind by the aliens, the tour guide had allowed the teenagers to roam the buildings by themselves. now, this was jisung's chance to talk to haru.

"where is my biggest fan."

looking around the building, he had realised he had no idea where she was. on the left, he noticed hyunjin successfully chatting up felix and seungmin in some conversation about how they should invest in a mullet. if she wasn't with her best friends then where else would she be?

ding!

that wasn't the sound of an idea coming to his mind. instead, it was the sound of the elevator heading to level 8. from the tour, he knew that level 8 was off limits for some reason. there's no way that perfect girl haru would sneak up there. unlike anybody else, jisung knew she was the devil's spawn so of course she would.

"up the elevator we go."

thankfully no one saw a suspicious looking random teenage kid board the elevator. the nervous look on his face and fidgeting hands definitely made him fit in. the song bts danger playing in the elevator didn't really ease his nerves.

the door revealed a surprising view. a very anticlimactic view.

"is this it?"

a wide cream roof filled with countless gray cabinets all in rows and columns, each labelled precisely. they filled every inch of the room, leaving enough space between them for someone to walk through and collect whatever was in it.

for something labelled as 'off limits' jisung was hoping for the floor to be something cool like the avenger's lounge or cat cafe. but no.

despite how boring the place looked, the only thing that sparked his joy was seeing his hunch was completely correct. several meters ahead of him was choi haru, rifling through a cabinet.

"what are you doing?" he asked, his voice echoing through the spacious room.

panicked, haru's head whipped up with widened eyes. "hamji? what the hell are you doing here?"

"first of all quit it with that name and second of all i asked you the question first."

she gave him a fake smile. a pretty one but he could see past it. "look, how about you leave and forget everything that happened, how does that sound?"

he knew she was up to something. "i don't know if i can forget miss brat here breaking in a restricted level just to open some cabinets." he narrowed his eyes to the brown files held tightly in her hand. it clearly said classified but he doubted she had the clearance to even touch it.

"oh come on, you're the one who followed me here. you look just as guilty as me."

"aha! so you do admit you're doing something bad!" he pointed

she rolled her eyes "since when did you care about what i was doing? looks like someone is a bit obsessed with me."

"pft what? i don't care, why would i even be obsessed?"

"really?" she folded her eyes, tilting her head to stare right at the boy. "then why did you come after me?"

she had him pin pointed. he hated when she did that.

"j-just because! i knew you were up to something." he stammered. real smooth jisung.

"so you came here to bust my ass. well consider my ass busted."

"your ass? no assing here, haru just put the file back and we can get the hell out of here."

"who's we? you can go by yourself and maybe act normal too."

he just wanted to scream but he also didn't want security to drag him out "you stole a file from a multi millionaire company and i'm supposed to act normal?"

"you're right i'm asking too much of you. there's no way you know how to act normal."

"shut it miss brat. you're not some super spy, you can't just steal stuff and sneak out here."

"well mr hamji, i can do whatever i want. none of this is any of your business anyway."

"this isn't going to end well."

"right, because stealing some paper is going to turn this situation into a life and death situation." she joked sarcastically as she shoved the file into her backpack.

for some reason, jisung was feeling an uneasy tug in his stomach. a sudden spike of his arm air was really the deciding factor. the nearing footsteps of coming from someone else had become louder.

"haru get down!" he hissed, quickly pulling her down to hide within the rows of cabinets. there was an uncomfortable silence between the two but not a lot of space which they soon realised when they looked up to see their faces only an inch away.

almost instinctively they pulled away from each other in disgust ignoring the hint of pink on their cheeks. now that was the closest contact jisung had even gotten with a girl. sad but he knew himself he had no game.

the man gruffed "first step completed, now the real mission."

their ears pricked up to listen more carefully.

"now this is going to be a blood bath."

jisung hated it when his gut instinct was right. he should've listened to bts when they said you're in danger.
