After the talk with Minho's mother, Minho stepped out to call the other manager to let him know that he would be staying the night with his family. He left you out of the details, since it wouldn't help either of you right now given the circumstances.
Haemi was getting quite tired after spending the afternoon playing with the cats, so you both headed upstairs to put away your belongings and get her tucked into bed.
All you could think about was that in just under ten hours, your whole life had changed again.
You'd certainly never thought you and Haemi would be sleeping in Minho's old bed in his childhood home.
But here you were. The overhead light had been turned off, with just the soft glow of the bedside table lamp lighting the small but quaint room. Haemi, bless her heart, had fallen asleep as soon as her head touched the pillow on the bed they would be sharing from now on. You laid next to her, softly running your fingers through her soft, black hair. She had curled up in a ball, and faced the wall the bed was against. Clutched in her little hands was Minho's sweatshirt, which had become more of a security blanket for her.
You heard soft knocking, as the door to the bedroom slowly opened. Tip toeing across the room, Minho slid in the bed with you, spooning you.
"How do you feel, jagi?" He quietly asked.
"I feel…better. Safer. But still weird, as if today was a dream."
"Mmm.." was all he replied, as he wrapped his arm tighter around your waist.
A few minutes passed before he spoke again.
"I hope you like it here. I know it wasn't the ideal first meeting with my eomma, but I think it went well. She'll come to love you and Haemi as much as I do."
"She was right though, I was rash and I shouldn't have run away...I think maybe, maybe I should call a lawyer. See what I'm up against."
"Whatever you want to do jagi, I promise I'll support you."
As much as the future scared you right now, you knew that with Minho, at least you were safe and loved.

The next morning, you woke up to the sun shining on your face and two warm bodies snuggling next to you. You stretched your legs out, and felt a shock of….fur? Ah, the cats were sleeping at the foot of the bed. You giggled, which woke Minho up from his slumber.
"Jagi…" Minho sleepily spoke, trying his best to hold in a big yawn. "I wish everyday was like this…"
You sighed, perfectly content in your current position. Then you shot up, realizing the indecency of your position! THIS WAS MINHO'S MOTHER'S HOMEEEEEEEE! EEEK!
With the sudden shift in the small double bed you were all sharing, Minho fell out of the bed and landed with a big thud on the floor.
You yelped, realizing that he could be hurt and quickly got off the bed to check on him.
"I'm so sorry Minho! Are you okay? Oh my god, now your eomma is going to know you slept in here for sure. She's going to hate me!"
With a big sigh, Minho stood up and rubbed his backside.
"Hana, it's fine. We slept above the blankets, not that my eomma really cares." He caressed your cheek, wiping away a stray tear that escaped during your panic.
"I know, but…"
Minho kissed you firmly, ending the discussion.
"Let's go downstairs, we need to contact a lawyer and get things sorted, but first we need food."
You smiled, a trace of a blush still present on your cheeks.
"Okay, love, let's all get ready."

With Haemi staying with Mrs. Lee for the day, you and Minho headed into town to meet with a lawyer his appa recommended. You were incredibly nervous, and kept wringing your hands together as you two got in the taxi. Minho, clad in a large bucket hat, mask and sunglasses, reached over to hold your hand, and didn't let go even when you both had to get out of the taxi to walk up to the office building.
Thankfully, the wait wasn't too long, and shortly after entering the office you were seated in a small conference room.
After going over the situation with the lawyer, detailing the circumstances of Haemi's birth and how Yixing left long before she was born as well as the recent development where Hana left town with her, the lawyer came to a conclusion.
"Normally, this would not look good for you Ms. Song…"
Your stomach dropped, oh God.
He continued. "However, the baby's father made a critical mistake by leaving before the child was born. Since he was not there to sign the birth certificate, the child in essence does not have a legal father. Therefore, he doesn't have the normal parental rights to lay claim on the child."
You straightened up at this piece of information.
"He can appeal it, however, claiming obstruction on your part as the other parent. But if the child were to have another party adopt her, and therefore becoming the other legal parent. There would be nothing the baby's father could do."
Oh my god.
Minho looked at you, then to the lawyer.
"Thank you so much sir, we appreciate the information."
Minho proceeded to grab your hand and drag you out of the building. While you had been in the office, it had started pouring outside and neither of you had an umbrella.
"Minho...stop! What is going on? It's raining! We need to get a cab!"
Minho stopped, looked at you and proceeded to pull his mask down and kiss you in the middle of the street outside of the lawyer's office.
"Let's get married."
You just stared at him in shock.
"Now."
