3rd Person POV
Cassius reacted on instinct and raced to the Bar, Desmond on his heels. There were people running around outside, screaming at the top of their lungs. Cassius pushed past them and entered the bar.
The color drained from his face as he took in the sight before him.
It was a massacre. Cassius counted four people dead, a fifth hanging lifelessly in the hands of the monster before him. What was even worse was that the monster before him looked about twelve as he quite literally tore the woman in his arms apart from limb from limb. He then turned to Cassius and Desmond.
"Stay close to me," Desmond warned.
Cassius didn't even have time to nod before the boy was on top of him, swiping at his face like a feral animal. Desmond through him off before he could do any damage. The boy hit the bar counter but hardly looked frazzled as he propped himself up again.
"He isn't going to go down easy," Cassius sais nervously.
He moved again and this time Cassius dived blindly, hoping he was moving out of the way. He couldn't even track the movement of the boy with the naked eye. The boy hissed savagely before reaching across the bar counter and grabbing a bottle.
Cassius flinched as he cracked it over his own head and held the now broken bottle ahead of him like a weapon.
"Those chemicals are just getting stronger," Desmond hissed.
The boy took a menacing step forward when the front door of the bar burst open and Catherine poured in with Azriel at her heels. The boy charged forward and Catherine shoved Azriel out of the way. Despite her heightened speed, the bottle still grazed her arm and her blood dripped onto the floor.
She hissed, backing away from the boy, but still standing protectively before Azriel.
"What the hell do we," Cassius shouted.
Before he could finish, the boy threw the bottle, temporarily distracting Catherine before lunging clean over the table that stood between them. Before Catherine could even retaliate, he sunk his fangs into her skin. Azriel shouted as he summoned magic to push the crazed vampire off of her.
Desmond scrambled off the ground, ready to sink his own fangs into the boy but Cassius held him back. He then took the cracked bottle from the ground and plunged it into the vampire's side. The combination of the pain and Azriel's magic finally had him unhanding Catherine, who fell to the ground unconscious.
Azriel was at her side within an instant, magic at his fingertips. The boy turned to face Desmond and Cassius with a scowl. He slowly pulled the broken bottle out of his body.
Cassius looked to Desmond and they came to the silent conclusion that they weren't going to get out of here alive if they didn't kill this boy.
As the boy lunged, Cassius dove forward and knocked his legs out from underneath him. The boy fell hard and Cassius fought with his all his strength to keep him down. Desmond gritted his teeth before taking the boy's neck in his hands.
One twist was all it took to end a child's life. Desmond for all his coldness, for his literal lack of heart couldn't bring himself to do it. Even if the boy had almost ended Catherine's life just seconds ago, he couldn't bring himself to cross this line.
So instead he leaned down and sunk his fangs into the boy's neck.
Cassius shoved at Desmond but he wouldn't relinquish his hold on the boy's neck until the boy stopped fighting. Still Desmond kept going. His eyes were wholly black as he fed on the boy.
