"What?" Alice's eyes grew wide, a smile finding its way on her face.

"They found me a liver, Al." He chuckled.

Alice squealed happily as she threw her arms around his neck, tears of joy threatening to spill from both of their eyes as they embraced each other tightly with wide smiles.

"I told you we'd find you that liver." She pulled back caressing his stubble. "When's the transplant?"

"Uh, they need me to come in now."

"Well then what are we still doing here? Let's go." She grabs his hand, starting to make their way out of the party when FP gently yanks her back.

"Al, I told you I didn't want to ruin your night. You stay here, be honoured, I'll be fine." He tells her sweetly, guiltily stroking her sides.

"I don't care about this damn honour, FP. You come first, forever and always." She cups his cheeks and plants a small kiss on his lips.

"Ready to go now?" She asks him once they pull back, and he nods.

They make their way over to their children to tell them the news.

"Hey kids, FP got a call from the hospital-"

"They found me a liver." He smiled, watching all four of the kids squeal with excitement.

"So we have to leave right now, you guys stay here, enjoy the party and tell my boss that I had a family emergency, okay?" Alice rapidly explains their situation, to which the children sigh at.

"What? No, I want to be there." Jellybean frowns.

"Honey, we have no idea how long this is going to take, hospitals are not a fun place to be." FP strokes his daughter's hair.

"But I wanna be there for you, daddy. Please let me come." She begs with those puppy dog eyes, and he can't refuse.

"Alright fine."

"If Jellybean's going, I want to too!" Jughead chimes in.

"Yeah!" Both Betty and Charles join in.

"I guess it's a full house then, come on let's get going." Alice shoo's them all out the door.

-

"If you'd just fill out this paperwork, we can get you a room and do some blood work." The receptionist tells them.

"Is it possible to speak to the surgeon?" Alice asks the woman.

"She's currently harvesting the liver right now as we speak in Seattle. Hoping everything looks good, they will head straight back here." The receptionist smiles.

"How long is that going to take?" Alice questions.

"Should only be a few hours, could be longer. We will get you prepped and into the O.R once we hear from them."

"Alright." FP breathes out.

"This is really happening, guys." Charles smiles, a chuckle escaping his lips.

"Yeah, it is." FP laughs with him, embracing his eldest son who had known from the start.

"Mr. Jones? Your room is ready for you." A nurse calls after them.

-

It had been a few hours that FP had been waiting for his surgery. The whole family were spending their time in his hospital room with him.
