      *Third Person POV*

'As Abby was getting ready to go in the bathroom she bumped into Therese.'

"Abby."

'Therese said flatly.'

'Abby felt a sense of dread wash over her body. Even hearting Therese day her name was enough to drain Abby of all of her energy.'

'Abby let out an agitated sigh while pinching the bridge of her nose.'

"What do you want Therese?"

"I could ask you the same thing.'

"What the hell are you talking about?"

"Carol."

"What about Carol?"

'Abby asked while rubbing the temples of her head.'

"Stay away from her! She's mine.."

'Therese hissed.'

'Abby let out at aggravated laugh while shaking her head.'

"What are you laughing about?"

'Therese was getting more pissed off by the second.'

"You're delusional you know that?!"

'Abby said while continuing to laugh.'

"Let me let you in on a little secret sweetheart."

'Abby said as she took a step closer to Therese.'

"Carol is her own person and she is going to do whatever she damn well pleases. So stop trying to own somebody who doesn't want to be owned. She's not mine, she's not yours, she's not even her husband's. Carol is just Carol. I wished I had an explanation for why she does the things she does; but I don't. At the end of the day I worry about what's best for me. You should try it sometime and learn to stay in your own path sweetheart."

'The fire in Therese eyes grew.'

'She didn't say anything and shoved her way passed Abby.'

'Abby knee she won't this round; but by the look Therese had in her eyes Abby could tell this was far from over.'

               *Abby's POV*

'After my little run-in with Therese I needed a drink or two..'

'After going to the bathroom I headed back to the bar. Two drinks turned into ten and almost 2 packs of cigarettes gone.'

'I decided it was time to go home before I ended up passed out here.'

'I pushed myself up from the bar leaving the bartender a wad of cash also making sure I left him a fat tip.'

'When I stepped outside it was snowing. Usually I would be cold; but the alcohol circulating through my body made me feel like I was sweating. So the cool air and snow felt nice against my hot sweaty skin.'

'All the street lights and people started to blend together and I was having some trouble walking.'

'Ughh I mentally groaned.'

'I drunk too much. I will definitely be regretting this in the morning.'

'When I finally reached my front door I couldn't felt more relieved. It felt like it took forever to get here.'

'It's not a long distance by no means; but when you're wasted, you're sweating, it's pouring the snow... all of those things made the walk feel like it was longer than it actually was.'

'I went up stairs and slipped into my light blue cotton pjs. Just as I was getting ready to lay down I heard a knock at my front door.'

'I felt mildly aggravated.'

'Who the fuck could be knocking at this hour?!'

'I want to sleep!'

'I went to answer the door only to be greeted by Carol's husband.'

'Greaattt.'

"Hello Abby."

'He said with a fake smile.'

"What do you want?!"

'His fake smile faded fast only to be replaced with his usual cold blank expression.'

"Where's Carol?"

'I shook my head.'

'Of course anytime he can't find Carol the first person to blame is me. I don't have time to play his stupid little games!'

"I don't know."

"What do you mean you don't know?"

'He looked at me as if I was stupid.'

"What I just said! I. DON'T. KNOW."

"You two went out together tonight so don't play this bullshit with me Abby! Now where is she?! Is she here?!"

'I raised my hand in front of his face to silence him.'

"Don't raise your voice at me."

'I gritted through my teeth.'

'I was at my boiling point.'

"She's not here. Yes we did go out together but she left me! She left me at the fucking bar okay?! I don't know where she is or why she left!"

'I was trying my best not to breakdown in front of him.'

"That is t wife Abby and I love her!"

'All the entanglements Carol has been in started to flash through my mind; her husband, me and Therese'

'Hot tears started to fall down my cheeks like a water fall and I started shaking my head.'

"I can't help you there."

'Before he could say anything I shut the door in his face. I managed to hold myself together until I got back upstairs into my bed.'

'Once I got in bed I fell apart.. tonight has been an absolute disaster.. I'm tired..'
