Background: Persephone was born in Lincoln, Nebraska with her older brother, Evander, and older sister, Nephele. Her parents were both artists who sold locally and would constantly be volunteering and donating to those in need. She grew up in a very spiritual house, she says in an interview that "she would come back home with her siblings on the bus (since they were very close in age) that her mom would be waiting for them with her sage to cleanse them before entering the house, to rid any negative energy either on me or from me (because I absolutely hated school) so we were all positive in the house". Even to this day, she sages herself when she comes home so some of that energy that was weighing her down goes away. Many people made fun of her and called her "The Wicked Witch" because many were very religious at her school. The only person that wouldn't care about her religion would be a little brown-haired girl who was bullied for believing in myths and fairytales; Madeline Finch. Since the first grade, Mads (as many call her this) became like another sister to her. As they grew up, they would go exploring some supposedly haunted places in their state and read all different kinds of stories about mythology, rituals, ghost stories, and collect things like feathers and rocks. Into middle school, they tried posting on MySpace their exploring videos. Though they gained some followers, not a lot to get them famous. Not until March of 2012, when they were eighth grade, they decided to try posting their exploring adventures onto YouTube, where their videos got a little more attention. So they continued and filmed them playing with Tarot cards, Ouija boards, seances, and talking to what they believed in; spirits.  This took them off as being the first female duo to do paranormal videos and post their exploring and paranormal videos on their channel, Sephie and Mads, and each has their own personal channel under their names.
