The Justice League

"We did good today," Aqualad says to the group as they finish up patrol meeting up at Crime Alley like usual. 

"Good, I'm low on energy levels. We should get food," Kid Flash says as they start walking away. They always walk around randomly to make sure they don't get followed home. They also split up halfway. 

"Your always on a low level," Artemis snarks smiling sweetly when he glared at her.

"We need to head home soon. Batman didn't patrol today. It's really suspicious," Robin says taping on his wrist computer looking at news clips. He was looking for anything on Batman coming out tonight.

"It's not like he could do anything. There are six of us, one of him. He would need the Justice League to help him, and we all know he hates other heroes in his city," Artemis says, but glances around blinking, just to be safe. 

"Anyway," Superboy adds,"He can't tell us to stop. It's hypocritical, and he's not our guardian."  Robin looks at the group silently. Miss Martian and Superboy where only half paying attention, Artemis and Kid flash looked done with the conversation, but Aqualad was paying close attention to him also agreeing with him. 

He didn't know why, but something felt off. It wasn't only Batman who is missed patrol. Superman, Green Arrow, and Flash also missed patrol, or had another hero do it. Plus there was sightings of Aquaman and Martin Manhunter around the world, and on land. It wasn't until he said explained this, that everyone started paying attention. 

"They could be on an off world mission," Aqualad offers halfheartedly, but they were all already on edge.

 "I mean that's too much of a coincidence," Robin starts, but before he could finish all the light in the street turned off. 

"Get into place," Aqualad yells as Robin uses his abilities to turn on the lights. He already had a hunch who did it in the first place. 

"A little dramatic don't you think, Batman?" Robin asks with a smirk as the whole group turns to Batman walking out of the shadows, but he wasn't alone. Superman, Aquaman, Flash, Martian Manhunter, and Green Arrow where behind him. 

"I thought you hated other hero's in your city," Artemis snarks. 

 
"I've made the exception," Batman answers evenly. 

'I Can try to get in their minds' Miss Martian offers through mind link.  Aqualad shakes his head glancing at Miss Martin causing the eyes of all but Batman to look at the two. 

'Plus Martin Manhunter is probably blocking them. Focus on blocking us'  Robin orders instead. She nods a tiny bit before focusing on on blocking.

"I'll ask one more time stop fighting, or we'll bring you in," Batman orders roughly in a deep voice. 

"I'll say one more time,"Robin says mockingly emanating Batman's voice before coughing,"How do you talk that low?" Batman gives a bat glare causing them to flinch slightly. Who could blame them? Even Superman flinched under that glare. 

"Your coming with us," He commands,"By choice or not."

"Wait," Robin exclaims. They all look at him.

"We'll go with you," He says quickly ignoring his team start yelling in his mind,"But their are conditions." Batman narrows his eyes. 

"And why should I follow any conditions?" He asks,"We can take you in either way."

"Because you know we're smart and can fight. You know what it's like living in Gotham," Robin answers,"You know we have a few way for us to escape. The only reason I'm offering is so you can get a few questions, so you'll  stop getting in our way. If we go willingly you can ask your questions and even separate us," Robin answers honestly. The team had calmed down slightly as he informs them his idea before he talked.

"How do you know we won't just lock you up when we get there," Flash asks them.

"I've planed for that. You all don't even know much about us or our skill set. Sure you've seen us in action, but none of you know us enough to know how powerful and skilled we are. Not even Batman. I should know...I hacked into your systems," Robin says with a smirk.

"You did what?" Superman exclaims.

"What are these conditions?" Batman growls out glaring at the kid ignoring the others hiding the part of him that was impressed at the kid's talent. 

"The mask stay on," He says immediately. Some of the Justice league open their mouths to protest, but Robin put his hand up to silence them. 

"This is not negotiable if you want all of us," Aqualad says knowing where this was going. Batman stares down the kids trying to make them crack, but they didn't even budge. Finally he nodes.

"That also means no digging in our heads," Superboy growls giving a pointed look to Martian Manhunter. The pressure that Miss Martin felt in her head disappeared as said man nods. That didn't mean they dropped their guard.

"We have our mind reader," Artemis warns,"The first sign of you trying to get in our heads, and I promise nothing you have will be able to keep us. I dare you to underestimate us."

"We keep our weapons," Aqualad adds. This made some protest. 

"It's not that we don't trust you, but we don't trust you," Kid Flash says with sarcastically rolling his eyes. Aqualad shots him a warning look which he just shrugs off. Batman nods at them a moment later despite his co-workers protest. 

"Anything else?" He asks slightly sarcastic. 

"Just one last thing," Robin says with a smirk at the annoyed look from Batman before becoming serious,"You have three hours, and then you take us back here. Not only do we have things to do, but holding off fixing some of our injuries would be a disaster. Heavy on the dis. Deal?" Robin looks at his teammates making sure they were all in agreement. They all gave various yes in the mind link or nods. 

"We can fix you up at our med bay," Aquaman says.

"I'm sorry, but like my team mate said before, we can not trust you," Aqualad answers.

"Deal," Batman says glancing at his own team who looked skeptical, but nodded in agreement nevertheless. 

"Then let's get this show on the road," Kid flash says with fake cheer.

A/N: I know this is short, and I feel like I rushed it too much. I tried writing this chapter several times, but this is the best I could do.
