Chapter 14: Someone You Loved

It has been days after that 'incident' happened in Veevat Corp and today, Gulf was playing with his spoon in the cafetaria while his mind was flying out there somewhere, thinking about how he was still in doubt whether Day is just Mew's alter ego, that they were both the same person, that... geese, I don't even know what to say. It was just Mew was never at home everytime Gulf's around, so there's no way for Gulf to find out about it. It's not like they have a connection for Gulf to ask Mew directly about it.

Gulf was putting back his eating utensils the plate, ready to leave the cafetaria, right when Win popped out of nowhere, scaring the hell out of Gulf.

"Yo!", Win shook Gulf's shoulder in a sudden, making Gulf jolted in surprise as he bounced back to his seat.

"Jesus! Win!", Gulf hissed in annoyance.

Win chuckled as he joined Gulf to sit beside him. "Why were you so early? I thought your schedule starts around 4?"

"Oh yeah, I was doing some errand on the block, and since I'm already here, I decided to just have lunch here and go straight to the library before my shift starts..."

Win stole a piece of meat from Gulf's plate as he nodded understand, "You should've called me. We could eat lunch together..."

"Did you eat your lunch already?"

Win nodded, "Yeah... I ate outside with some of the seniors here..."

"I see..."

"So, did you find anything interesting in the library?"

"Which one, study case or pretty nurses?", Gulf teased him as Win replied him with a laugh.

"Ya right! What d'ya think?"

"Well... I found a lot of interesting cases regarding D.I.D on some old files."

"Did it help you in any way?"

"Err, speaking of this, do you have any idea how to check whether a patient has D.-"

"You know the drill. Just bring him to the hospital for a check", Win cut him short.

"Apart from that...", Gulf snorted, "I haven't finished my line..."

"Oh...", Win chuckled, "You want it the nice way? Or the hard way?"

Mew sat on his office, frowning, thinking about something. Mew didn't even realized when Godt stepped inside his office, calling his name a couple times, clicking his finger in front of him, until he finally slammed onto the desk, startling him.

"The fuck?", Mew hissed, pissed off.

Godt rolled his eyes in annoyance, "You were asking me this? The fuck happened with you? I walked inside, called your names, clicked my fingers, and there you are still... ignoring me..."
