I nervously twisted the golden ring on my pinky finger.

" Are you sure we wont be caught?"

I mumbled. Judy ignored my question. She was to focused on reading her book. The book that could get us in prison. Out of all the books in quendle (our town) she chose that one. That book that was smuggled, that book that... We were sitting in the library, of our school with all the doors locked.

Of course I didn't WANT to be here but if Judy was found she would definitely have no idea what to do and would get herself in more trouble. Judy had the longest hair I have ever seen. It was flame red, and was noticeable from any distance. My hair was a big brown messy bob.

The bell rang, it was time to go to first period. Judy slipped the book into her book bag and under her breath whispered the Absorbing of light spell and quickly ran off to class, she did the spell with such ease and on such a big item. It took me FOREVER to disappear a pen. Judy was this perfect girl who always raised her hand in class and who was never late. Everyone loved her she is popular and trust worthy and funny. She is perfect. And then there is me my short brown messy hair, I am NOT popular and my jokes are not even funny. She is my only friend and everyone ignores me. they know if they talk to me they will be shamed on by Rebecca Meadows the most popular girl in school. If this is even possible she is prettier than Judy.

The book we smuggled was brown and was covered with dust some kind of bug had gotten to it so the spine was eaten up. If anybody found out about this eaten book  we would be sent to prison and our families would be separated and would be sent to different prisons.
