(Orginal chapter 4 written by xXgabystarXx)

Matthew was given many things, food, a stroller, basically everything needed to care for a 3 year old.

Being very sure he wasn't ready to care for a child, and screaming at himself for agreeing, he went to phone Ludwig of his situation.

Because even though Ludwig wasn't the host of the next meeting, he would probably end up having to settle things out anyway.

Waiting for the German man to answer was rather boring, because apparently Alfred wasn't that fussy.

The 3 year old slept in the noise, and in fact, seemed rather used to it.

Matthew took this as a good sign, because Gilbert came over a lot, and usually caused a huge mess.

But Gilbert was good company none the less.

"Ah, Birdie! nice to speak with you!"

Matthew perked up a bit.

"Oh! Hey Gilbert! How's it going?"

"It's going great, how are you?"

"Well uh...I went over to America for something the government wanted me for and guess what...?"

"There was a really bad fuck up?"

"Nah, not yet. But there's a personification for The States. I wanted to tell Ludwig because I'm gonna have my hands busy for a while."

"Holy Scheße!* I thought there would never be one! What are they like? Hot blonde chick, or muscular man?"

"Neither. Apparently they've been in a box since they were like a toddler. So I have to take care of him? Her? Them? I dunno. I'll check later."

"West's not gonna believe this. He's gonna go nuts!"

"Yeah I know. You wanna come over sometime later? I sincerely think I'm gonna fuck this up some how."

"Alrighty! I'll just leave a note for Ludwig and head straight over. Bye Birdie!"

Ah yes, Matthew loved to spend time with Gilbert, the two hung out very often, and maybe Matthew had a teensie weensie little crush....

Deciding to fully make sure the kid was ok after the drive back to his place, Matthew picked up the baby carrier, as well as everything else for the kid.

Walking to the car, Matthew realized he had no clue how to put a seatbelt in a baby carrier.

Carefully taking out the young child from the box, Matthew then blanched.

"No way....there is no possible logical way...."

The kid looked just* like his late baby brother, Alfred, albeit much thinner- But that was impossible! Alfred should have grown up and died ages ago, like a normal human. Matthew continued freaking out as he carefully put the sleeping child into the car seat and sighed seeing the kid was alright.

Matthew then took the box, and got into the drivers seat, setting the aged wood into the passenger side. He looked back one more time, seeing that the toddler was still asleep, which was good, because he had no clue how to calm one down, and began to drive.

Having stopped at a red light, he looked at the kid, and decided to quickly rumage through the box to see if there was anything else in there. He found a note, and the bunny the toddler was clutching earlier.

Hearing a car horn, Matthew looked up and started drving, having not noticed the light was now green.

The kid woke up-somehow- from the horn and started crying. Matthew wished, no, BEGGED, for a chance that he could go back in time and say no.

Sweating at the wails, he pulled over and immediately went to the back seat to calm the kid down.

"MOMMY! I WAN MOMMY!" The kid was basically screaming his head off.

"Kid, please calm down. Your mommy will be here, please don't cry. I'll take care of you, calm, calm calm...." Matthew was sweating, unsure what to do. He unblucked the seatbelt and carefully picked them up, and tried, keyword, *tried* to stop the kid from crying.

"M-MOMMYYY-" The kid screamed.

"No, please.." Matthew had to think quick, Gilbert was headed to his place, and the kid was wailing.

"Kid....shhhh....hush little baby don't you cry... I'm gonna sing you a lullaby..." Matthew did the best he could, and began singing. Gently rocking the now relaxing three year old.

"If is this is not enough, I'll make some maple syrup." Matthew prayed to whatever was out there, that it rhymed.

Soon enough, the kid was tired, and fell back asleep, and Matthew let out a breath of relief.

Deciding to read the old note, he pulled it out, and carefully began to read it.

'To whomever is reading, ye are my savior. The child you see, is my young son. Only three years of age. He is most definitely confused. I love him, with all of my heart. If ye have found him, and are wonderingg what he was christened, it was Alfred. Tis his name. Please don't change it. His birthday is the Fourth of July, incase you wish to celebrate it. He was put into this box for one reason, and one only.

The people of the town suspect I am a witch, and I am one, so they are most likely to kill me. I want my son to live, so I cast a final spell, and put him with this note and his favorite toy, a stuffed rabbit. It will help calm him down, as I put a relaxation charm on it.

Please, take care of my son. He is sad, he had to leave his brother and his cheating bastard of a father. He needs all the love and care he can get, as I can no longer provide him with it. As I am, most definitely dead. When he is old enough, tell him I loved him, with all of my heart.'

-Emezie Jones

Matthew tried to blink back his tears. It didn't work. Looking at the boy in his backseat, out cold, having been exhausted from all his crying.

Taking out the old, rag doll like bunny, he carefully set it down in the car seat, and smiled a bit when Alfred near immediately latched onto it.

Then when he sat back in the drivers seat and began driving once again, he really began to think about it.

For one, the boy's named Alfred, two, cheating bastard of a father? That sounded familiar. Three, a brother he had to leave. Four, his mother's name was Emezie. Which was his own mother's name. That was a rather odd coincidence.

Shrugging it off, Matthew took a deep breath, and was soon on the road, listening to music, and worrying about what Gilbert was doing.
