Chapter Seven
|Twilight|
[Angel]
:::
Emily and I sat side seat to Bella finally settling into her new life here. Not only did had have us but she had her own friend group she had made. She also finally stood up to Edward which I could tell made her feel good. The boy had no right to treat her like that only to or pretend that it didn't happen. But that's besides the point here.
I also seemed to have found my own rhythm in this town so to speak. I typically rode my bike to school unless it was storming or the road conditions were too dangerous. When I couldn't ride one of two things happened, either Bella gave me a ride or Emmett, Rosalie's boyfriend, showed up to bring me with Rosalie and Jasper in tow. I'm starting to suspect the whole ride situation was Jasper's doing. I did after all talk to him about how much I hated Bella's old truck which sounded like it was ready to die at any moment.
I was brought out of my own train of thought when I heard our teacher call on Em and for the first time since I knew her skinny butt, she didn't know the answer to the equation. Right then I knew that something was up with her. My bestie senses were tingling as we broke off into our work groups again.
"Ok. Spill. What is wrong?" I didn't hesitate as I stared at the redhead in front of me.
"What makes you think something is up?" She asks me curiously as she taps her pen on the desk absently.
"Oh and you're tapping that pen nervously."
"Look it's crazy..." She starts before cutting herself off.
"I do well with crazy or do you not see how I handle Mike Newton and Tyler Crowley?"I teased and she smiles sheepishly.
"There's this girl in my English class..."
I have a feeling I know where this is going.
"She's like really cute and super smart. I just don't know how to approach her. I don't even know if she's into girls like I am..." I offer a comforting smile and drape my arm around Em.
"How will you know if you don't try? I get that being rejected is hard but there's also a chance that she might like you." Emily actually perked up slightly from what I said.
"You're right Angel. I won't know until I try."
Our teacher coughs giving us a raises brow and we giggle going back to work. I don't know, but something about detention didn't seem all too entertaining.

I poked at my lunch tray while Jessica excitedly went on about prom. I honestly wasn't all too keen on the idea of prom. Ironic I know considering this would be my final prom before I graduate. I just didn't see the magic in it.
"You're going to prom right?" Jessica asked me curiously and I looked up from my tray for the first time since sitting down.
"I don't really see the point but I guess." I shrugged.
"Aw come on! Don't be like that. You're a senior. Prom is the last night of your life before you have to go off to college!"
Kill me now...
I sparingly look over and see Jasper looking at me with concern on his face. I mouth 'help me' and he sprang into action. Without hesitation, Jasper strutted up to our table.
"Sorry to interrupt but I need to borrow Miss McDouglass for a bit." His voice as always had that smooth southern charm to it and none of the girls at the table knew how to react as he took my bag on his shoulder while ushering me towards our quiet spot near the library.
