Chapter 6

Zac's Point of View

   I drove to the University and immediately parked it. May tatapusin pa akong requirements from a major subject. Since this is my last year of college life marami na silang pinapagawa sa aming output and reseach. I'm taking Civil Engineering, luckily I am not an irregular student, though mahirap naman talaga ang mga subjects namin especially Statics of Rigid Bodies, the subject that I really hate the most, fortunately I got 2 as a mark. Not bad.

I am Elwood Zac Montefalco, the older twin brother of Zeke. We're opposite from the view of life hanggang sa pananamit at mga type. Madalas siyang tawaging babaero and I'm the so-called stick to one.

My girlfriend broke up with me dahil binalikan siya ng ex niya. She's from other University together with her ex. We've been together for almost 4 years. I'm not a drunkyard kapag iniiwanan. I only focused to myself. But I'm not a quitter, babawiin ko pa rin ang akin. I'll claim her back at titirahin ko ulit siya hanggang sa hindi na naman siya makapaglakad ng maayos.

    I've heard the news na may nakakita sa akin may kasamang babae. For sure ibabalita na naman yun sa ex girlfriend ko. Gossips and hearsays are everywhere. The news describe the guy wearing eye-glasses, wearing tight polo at ako daw talaga yun. I wondered myself on the news I've heard. My brother borrowed my car. Naiisip ko na baka siya yung nakita nila. But I'm asking myself 'bakit naman niya ako gagayahin for no reason?' I don't know if its just a pure story invented or real. But I guess seeing is believing.

Nakarating din ako sa classroom at inumpisahang gawin ang mga requirements. Tamang-tama, we have 2 hours vacant so its enough time to finish this. Nasimulan ko na rin siya sa bahay kahapon kaya konti na lang ang dinadagdag ko. It takes guts to be an engineer someday. Para kaming sinasalang buhangin. Matira matibay, ang susuko ay talunan. I won't stop until I have that word 'engineer' on my name. For now, siguro mas mabuting single muna ako, less hassle and more time to study.

Natapos ko rin ang mga requirements at tinawag ko naman ang barkada ko.

"Griffin." Tawag ko at lumapit naman siya.

"Bantayan mo muna papers ko. You can copy it if you want." Namaalam muna ako dahil kukunin ko pa yung mga test results kay Sir Martinez. I'm a trusted student here in our department kaya ganon na lamang ipagkatiwala ng subject teacher namin ang mga papers and exams.

"No problem dude." He nodded. I went outside the room. It's almost lunch na rin. Binilisan ko na lang maglakad because I'm already starving.

"Ang pogi talaga niya."

"Sinabi mo pa. Running for Cum Laude siya eh."

"Ang swerte naman ng magiging girlfriend niya."

Sometimes, girls are girls. I don't know if sinasadya nilang marinig ko or they're just noisy. But who cares? My heart is hard to tame.

As I walk to the faculty, a weird girl gave me a hand wave. I don't even know her. From Tourism Department pa pala at may kasama pa siya. I don't know if kilala ko ba siya or nakilala man lang from somewhere pero hindi ko kabisado ang mukha.

I frowned. Hindi ko naman sila kilala. I gave them a poker face at iniwas ko na lang ang tingin ko. See? Girls are girls.

Sinundan pa rin ako ng babaeng blonde.
It's really creepy and annoying.

"Zac, stop." How'd she know my name? I stopped when I heard her shouted. Tumingin naman ako sa kanya giving her a 'do I know you' face. Para niya akong kakainin sa tingin niya. The fuck.

"Sorry. I don't know you." I just said before leaving. Tinitignan naman kami ng ibang estudyanteng dumadaan. Humahagikhik naman ang mga nakapanood. Naiwan naman siyang clueless.

"Tara na Ry." Hinila naman siya ng kasama niya at saka sila umalis. Nahihiya silang pinagtitinginan ng iba. Hindi ko naman gusto mamahiya, pero I don't even know her.

What was that?
Just a 'feeling close' girl nga lang siguro.

But she's pretty. I kinda like her beauty.
