Another Saturday and another fancy club. Brad was sitting in a booth, sipping on expensive gin while looking around the room.
It wasn't too crowded, it seemed that places like this one never were and Brad fairly enjoyed that. He soon felt a hand on his shoulder and James sat down opposite of him. "Man can't we go to a less expensive place for once? If I have to wear this suit one more time I'm going to tore it to shreds as soon as I'm home." He complained and Brad shook his head.
"I'm looking for someone of quality and not a hooker, James." He said and his blonde friend rolled his eyes in response. The two held a light chat while looking around the room.
Brad took a sip of his drink and noticed James' eyes being fixated on something in the back of the club. Brad turned his head around and saw a blonde girl standing there talking to a man who's back was facing Brad.
The brunette turned back to his friend and laughed at James' expression, almost drooling onto the wooden table in front of them. "Why don't you go over there?" Brad asked his friend who snapped out of his daydream and looked at the younger male in front of him. "She's already talking to a guy. And from what I can see, he's wearing an expensive suit so it's a lost cause."
James said with a sigh and titled his head back to empty his glass of whiskey. Brad smiled before getting up. "Come on." He said and pulled his friend up. "I'll be your wing man, let's go." James smiled in delight. "Really? Thanks man."
The two walked through the bar and towards the corner where the other two were standing. The blonde girl laughed at something the man said and Brad had to admit that she indeed very beautiful. Shorty before they arrived in the corner, the man in the expensive suit left the girls side and Brad grinned at the lucky coincidence.
"Hi may we introduce ourselves?" Brad asked with a confident smile, James right next to him.
The blonde girl locked eyes with Brad and smiled. "Oh hi! Of course, I'm Kirstie." She introduced herself and Brad smiled kindly.
"Hi Kirstie, I'm Brad and this is James." He said and stepped to the side. Said blonde smiled at Kirstie and shook her hand. "Hiya Kirstie."
The three talked for a bit, Brad desperately trying to make clear what a great guy James was.
"And what do you do for living?" James asked and Kirstie tugged a strand of hair behind her ear.
"I'm a project co-ordinator at a charity organization here in London."
She explained and James lifted his eyebrows. "Wow that's amazing." He said. The two talked for a bit more while Brad listened with one ear. He was still looking around the room.
Suddenly a new voice cut through James and Kirstie's conversation.
"Am I interrupting something?"
Brad turned his head to identify the new voice only to have his breath hitch in his throat slightly.
"Oh! You guys, this is a very good friend of mine. His name is Tristan."
