Miracle

Miracle 1

I sighed and slumped down the bench, breathing heavily. It was one hell of a tiring day. “You managed to make the Triple Axel, Ally?” asked a familiar voice; I looked up to see a warming smile comes from my best friend, Kay.

I chuckled,” Hey, Kayla! Apparently no, not even double, you?”

“Almost done the triple axel once but then I hit against the wall, such a spoiler,” She said with a sheepish smile and I returned it with a proud smile.

She’s one hell of a skater but I wonder why does she always end up at 2nd place, she’s obviously more talented than me.

My stomach grumbled,” Hey, want to grab brunch?” I asked Kay and she thought about it for a while and then agreed.

On our way, we chatted a bit about the triple axel. It’s kind of a hard trick to do, not many women can manage to do it so we both want, dream, crave to be one of the women who could.

We laugh a bit but then silent down, there was a bit of an awkward silence between us and Kayla was the one who broke it but replaced it with a tense atmosphere when she suddenly blurted out a statement, an honest statement,

“I think you should quit skating.”

“What? Why?”

“You already succeed this course; why not give others the chance to do that too?”

I was now quite puzzled and taken aback by her sudden honesty but appreciate that she was truthful and wouldn’t bottle it inside,” I wouldn’t say that, I still got lots to learn but I think you’re right, I should probably stop now but I haven’t fully achieve my dream yet, I haven’t succeed doing the triple axel. After that, maybe I’ll quit and try something new beside my trophy wardrobe are getting full,” I joked.

I then felt quite uneasy after I laugh at my own joke but Kay remains silent.

Kayla mumbled something.

“What?” I asked.

But before I could get an answer, I heard someone shouted ‘look out!’ and I turned to meet a truck heading straight to me.

I gasped.

Then everything went pitch black.

“Oh my god, Is Alisha okay?!”

I flinched at the shriek and horrible screeching and try to flutter my eyes open.

“Lisa?! Are you awake, sweetie?”

“Ugh, Fifi, are you trying to wake me up or trying to make me deaf while I’m asleep,” I said jokingly to my worried sister while attempting to open my eyes but the light was too bright so it was a bit hard.

When I finally manage to open my eyes, Fifi immediately gave me a tight hug,” oh, thank god you’re okay!”

“I told you, she just fainted,” said a voice from the corner of the room. Fifi let me go and step aside giving room to the person to face me. It was Kay. I smiled at the sight of her,” What happened?”

Fifi smile fell upon hearing my question and they stare at each other intensely. They took a while to answer so I tried to sit up but I could feel a sore pain on the side of my right leg and I flinched. Kayla stopped me from trying to sit up and I stare at her inquisitively,” Kayla, What happened to me?”
