Deanard steps closer with Neome, "Why won't you speak? How's Gielien? Is he ..."

"No." Cleayé says.

"No?"

Part FOURTEEN

Daybreak's Aftermath

At last she speaks. But her answer made them even more confused. She closes her eyes while she hugs him tighter and wipes her tears from her cheeks as she does.

After which, she breathes deeply.

She looks at them and smiles with her withered eyes. "No. Gielien ... he's still alive," she states at them with a soft voice. 

"His heart is still beating. I can feel it, you see? He didn't leave. I'm so glad he didn't—" Tears fell again, but this time she's smiling and they can see it. She seems to be telling the truth and they believe in what she just said, although they are still mystified how it happened.

Neome smiles as well and she can hardly believe it. She goes towards them and hugs her big brother with welling eyes. "I'm very happy you didn't leave us, Big Brother. Why the heck did you make us all worried?" She hugs him even tighter and sobs into her brother's chest.

Deanard breathes down as well as he warmly watches them do all the sobbing.

Even though the purple haired lord seems to have lost his consciousness by then, what Cleayé said made them feel so relieved.

The dark atmosphere suddenly turns into the opposite as sunlight touches their skin.

The room which was dark and gloomy turns bright and lively all of a sudden.

Even Andrew and the other guy smiled when she said that.

"So it was your kiss right? That's why he asked for it," the black-haired sorcerer calls them.

Neome looks at him and tries to stand up by herself. She wipes her tears and faces them proudly, and then she smiles. "I was right. He won't let himself die here."

Dominique looks at her and she continues, "My big brother ... really turned melancholic when you two left him. He was happy to be with you, that's why I can't believe you still left him before. You were the ones who changed him, right? After you have left, he tried to wait. But then he realized you two left for keeps and he decided to forget everything to shove off his pain. He truly ... looked up to both of you. And he couldn't accept the fact that you didn't care anymore," she states with a faint smile. "You see, I'm quite sure that ... Big Brother will appreciate if you'll visit him one time. He really wanted you back!"

Dominique gulps on what he has heard. But he mentally shakes his head at the thought. He does not deserve that—he believes. He is not meant to be together with that guy whom he treated so ill. They are like the opposite sides of a coin, meant to be facing backwards each other. 

He answers her maintaining his cool, "After what we did? Neo? I think you need him more than we do. You took care of him on our behalf when we left." Then he suddenly looks away. "The truth is, we just wanted to know how worthy that stubborn little monster is. We can be sure he grew up the way we expected after all."

Neome grins amused at his answer. So perhaps ... he's not all demonic after all that he's done?

Andrew touches Dominique and he seems to be preparing his sorcery. "Bye then. See you guys soon."
