Rishabh's Kidnapping

It starts from scene when Preeta finds Prithvi’s ring in the hotel.


Preeta - "Shristi I have seen this ring somewhere. It’s the same ring I gave to Prithvi ji on our engagement. What is it doing here!!"
Shristi – "Di I guess Karan Sir is right that kidnapper is daadhi wala bakra."
Preeta – "If that’s Prithvi ji I’ll not spare him, how can he think of doing such a heinous crime."
Meanwhile Sherlyn calls Prithvi to inform about Preeta visiting the room. “ Prithvi baby, are you in our suite? If so please leave as early as possible. Preeta and Shristi are coming to check there and they have master key with them. Please leave immediately.” This was heard by Karan and he was now sure that the kidnapper is none other than Prithvi and Sherlyn is with him in this kidnapping.
He calls Sherlyn and asks her to come with him to which Sherlyn follows. He takes her to a room and asks for mobile saying “ I need to call mom and my mobile was broken by the kidnapper.” Reluctantly Sherlyn gives her mobile and Karan calls his mother. Rakhi picks the call and ask what happenned, did he find Rishabh to which Karan says he can’t hear her may be the network is not good. He will go out and asks to wait. While leaving the room, Karan takes the room card and locks the room from outside. He finds Mahira running towards him and asking if he is ok. He asks Mahira to stay there and keep an eye on the door and don’t let Sherlyn come outside at any cost. Mahira is fizzled what to respond now. “I’m trusting you with this Mahira, she shouldn’t come out at any cost” and he leaves for 10th floor. Mahira is thinking what to do, if she lets Sherlyn out Karan will never marry her for betraying his trust. She thinks to keep the promise and stayed there.

Preeta sees the mask man taking someone on wheelchair and screams loudly. In order to stop him she throws a vase on his head. Prithvi stumbles and let go of the wheelchair. But he bends down and waits for Preeta to come forward and the moment she steps on carpet he pulls the carpet and Preeta falls down injuring her head on the side table.
Karan on other side hear Preeta’s scream and runs towards her. When he reaches the corridor he sees Preeta on the floor holding her head and the mask man trying to flee from there. Karan was holding Preeta “What happened to you? Are you ok?” He checks her head which is wounded and bleeding. “Karan go behind him and save Rishabh ji. I’ll be fine. Please go.” Karan looks at her and is shocked that she isn't worried about her wound and Asking him to behind the kidnapper. He was moved and gives her Sherlyn’s mobile. “This is Sherlyn’s mobile. Keep it with yourself and call mom or Shristi and tell them about your location. You need first aid.” After saying this, Karan kisses her forehead and runs behind the mask man.

Prithvi is dialing Sherlyn baby so that she can guide him where to go and where are all the Luthras and Aroras. Sherlyn’s mobile is ringing and Preeta sees the screen and get shocked. “Punny Baby calling!!” Preeta immediately picks up the call and doesn’t say anything. On hearing Prithvi’s voice she collapsed on the floor. She was not able to hold her tears and was thinking about Karan. How many times he warned her about Prithvi but she never payed heed to his words. The little hope she had about the explanation on missing the engagement ring was also gone. She came out of trance and recorded whatever Prithvi said in Sherlyn’s mobile itself. She got up and started running on the way Karan left.

Here Prithvi was scared as Sherlyn baby didn’t say anything and he doesn’t has any ideas to get out of this mess. Karan saw the mask man and wheelchair and shouted “ heyyy stop right there, else I’ll kill you”. Karan saw Sammy coming from other side and was confident that now the mask man was trapped. But mask man ditched both of them and ran in random direction along with Rishabh. But today he was out of luck and reached the center area where everyone was assembled. He was surrounded by Aroras and Luthras, but couldn’t spot his Sherlyn baby.
The other  kidnapper was also there and he could see the gun in his hand and smirked. Prithvi snatched the gun from other kidnapper and put the gun on Rishabh and asked everyone to stay away otherwise he will shoot Rishabh. Karan Rakhi, Kareena Sameer Preeta and Shristi stopped at their places. Karan was hell angry and asking “ What do you want from us and why have you kidnapped my brother?” He saw Mahira and Sherlyn approaching towards them. His temper rose seeing Sherlyn outside but to his surprise Preeta asked loudly “ Prithvi ji why are you doing this? We know it is you behind the mask. You are a good man and these kind of things doesn’t suit you. Please leave Rishabh ji, he is innocent and hasn’t done anything to you.” Karan raised his voice “ Now do you believe it’s your Prithvi ji or you are also with him in thisbkidnapping along with Sherlyn”? Preeta was aghast listening to Karan’s allegations but composed herself and was about to retort but Kareena interrupted her. “Karan why are you dragging Sherlyn into this kidnapping, she was stuck in a room and moreover she is Rishabh's wife why would she kidnap her own husband and why you and Preeta think it’s Prithvi?”
But Prithvi fires a bullet in air and everyone gets quite and diverts their attention towards Prithvi. “Yes it’s me Prithvi Malhotra who kidnapped Rishabh” and saying that he removed the mask. “I want only one thing entire Luthra property. Once Rishabh signs these papers I’ll leave him to rot in gutter. I don’t want anything more than that.” He pauses and looks towards Preeta “wait wait I do want one more thing that’s mine but this Gilli danda player snatched it from me Preeta ji” and he smirked. “Preeta ji is mine and she will come with me.” Listening Prithvi, Karan was fuming in anger and shouted " Don't you dare go near her, I'll not spare you."

During this exchange Rishabh gains consciousness and understands the situation, he tries to get out of Prithvi’s clutches by rolling the wheelchair using his both tied up legs. Prithvi realize that Rishabh is gone and he fires towards Karan “Even if I don’t get Luthras property I’ll not spare you Karan. You snatched everything from me. You married Preeta ji by replacing me.” And the bullet leaves the revolver and hits it target. Everyone shouts Karan and rush towards him. But Karan is immobile and didn’t realize what happened as he was fine and see Preeta lying in pool of blood. He was frozen to spot and came out of his nightmare when Shristi shouted “ Di¡!!!”
Police arrived and captured Prithvi along with his accomplice and gun. Prithvi was taken by police.

Karan scooped Preeta in his arm and started crying “why did you come in front of me? He wanted to kill me why why why???” Karan was guilt stricken for putting allegation for Rishabh’s kidnapping. “Karan Sir we need to take  Di to hospital. We need to hurry.”
“Sammy bring the car in front and I’ll bring Preeta.”
Mahira becomes restless seeing the commotion and seeing Karan’s concern for Preeta. “Karan where are you going? It’s our wedding day we need to go home. Her sister and police can take care of Preeta.” Kareena too came forward asking him to come home as Rishabh is alright now.

Karan lost his cool for an instance but looking on Preeta’s bleeding shoulders he ignored everyone  removed his t-shirt and tied it on the wound to stop the bleeding and left for car. “Shristi call city hospital and tell them the scenario so that they are ready with their team. Sammy call my lawyer and ask him to reach hospital so that hospital doesn’t create any issues in admitting Preeta.”

Karan, Shristi and Sammy reached hospital and as per Karan’s expectations everything was ready. Preeta was taken into operation theater and Karan was asked to fulfill the formalities. Looking at devastated Shristi he asked Sammy to look after and he went to reception to finish the formalities. He entered the name as Preeta Karan Luthra and signed as husband and waited for doctors to come out.

Karan was pacing the hospital corridor and waiting for doctor to come out. The time has stopped for him, it felt like someone has snatched his heart from his body. The pain was unbearable and time has stopped. He felt like a zombie. After like an eternity the operation theater doors opened and Karan ran to the doctor “Doctor how is Preeta? Is she alright now? Why aren’t you speaking anything? Say something dammit.”
“Karan Bhai please calm down and let the doctor speak.”
“Mr Luthra your wife is a fighter. She is absolutely alright. We have removed the bullet but she is weak. She needs lot of bed rest and care to heal fully. Right now she is unconscious due to sedatives, we will shift her in room in some time and then you can meet her. ” Saying this doctor left. Karan watched Preeta lying on hospital bed like a lifeless body. The sight was tearing his heart mind soul.

After couple of hours Preeta was shifted to room. Nurse came and told Karan that patient is calling him. Karan ran inside and hugged Preeta and started crying like a child. “ Why did you come in front of me? What if something had happened to you. You didn’t even think about me, how would I survive without you. You never think about me my heart. It’s bleeding to see you in this condition. If anything would have happened to you today I would have killed that Prithvi with my bare hands. You are my life and breath, I freaking need you to survive.” Karan was vulnerable and kissed Preeta’s entire face assuring himself that she is ok. Shock would be an understatement, Preeta was left speechless at Karan’s confession. She hugged him back with equal enthusiasm and mumbled “ I’ll never leave you Bajarbattu, you are my everything. I’m alive because you are with me, I’ll not survive without you.”

Karan held her face and placed a soulful kiss on Preeta’s forehead. “You rest for now, I need to consult the lawyers for putting Prithvi behind bars forever.”
This reminded Preeta about the conversation she recorded. “Karan where is Sherlyn’s mobile? I have recorded the conversation in that mobile. You were always right about both of them. Sherlyn was helping Prithvi in this kidnapping. They were cheating us all this time. Prithvi is Punnu baby. I have recorded his confession in Sherlyn’s mobile. It must be still there in hotel.”

“Don’t worry babydoll I’ll take care of it. You stay put, I’ll send Shristi inside. You take rest, I’ll see you after couple of hours.”
The moment Karan left Shristi entered and ran to hug her sister. She was crying and scolding her sister for her daring stunt. “ You didn’t think about your jhalli, what would happen to me without you. Di you are my lifeline, never pull such a stunt ever in life. I have informed everything to maa and she is coming to hospital.”
Preeta gets tensed thinking about Sarla but medicines starts taking their effect and she falls asleep.

Shristi tells everything to Sarla and informs that Preeta di is sleeping. She lied that Doctor has advised not to stress the patient and keep her happy for speedy recovery. She was fortunate to be brought here in time and whoever tied the t shirt on her injury did a great job to lessen the blood loss.

Karan on other side asked Rishab to get Sherlyn’s mobile from hotel and meet him in the police station. Rishabh started asking million questions to which he had only one response, “she is one of the reasons behind current condition of babydoll and I won’t spare anyone today.”
Sensing Karan’s anger Rishabh checked the area for Sherlyn’s mobile and fortunately found it but it wasn’t getting on. He thought of taking it to a repair shop and get it on before heading for police station. He took an hour to reach police station where he was bombarded by Karan on being late. “What took you so long? Don’t you understand I need to go back to hospital. My wife is still in hospital and needs me.” Rishabh was more than happy listening this from Karan and just hugged him. “ Calm down Karan, everything will be alright. I’m so happy to see you owning up your responsibility and finally accepting Preeta ji. But you needed this mobile. It was discharged and wasn’t starting so I took to a repair shop and he just charged it and it open. What is there in it?”
“ I need to check the call logs and Preeta said she made a recording that can be submitted as proof that Sherlyn was involved in your kidnapping too.”  Rishabh was shocked and said “You are kidding right Karan!! Why would Sherlyn do such thing? She is my wife daughter in law of Luthra family. Why would she succumb to such act and that too with Prithvi. What relation she has with Prithvi?” Karan chuckled at his brother’s naivety and thought how to tell his brother that Sherlyn never was a good match for him and was two timing with Prithvi. Instead of telling him he thought to show him her mobile, that way he will put everything together himself. He showed him the call logs to Punnu baby during his kidnapping hours and then he found the recording. On listening the recording ground slipped under Rishabh’s feet, he couldn’t believe Karan and Preeta has been correct all along and he never listened to them. He was feeling ashamed to not trust his own brother. “I’m sorry Rishabh but I need to get her arrested. Preeta was fighting for her life and she did that for me. I’ll never forgive Sherlyn for this. She tried to snatch away my happiness at every step she could.” He went inside the police station and told everything to inspector and asked them to arrest Sherlyn. He showed the call records and recording of the call on her mobile as proof. Then he turned to his lawyer asking to get a copy of recording as back up and return the mobile so that he can keep it safely. He doesn’t want to take any chances this time. After finishing all the formalities in the police station Karan and Rishabh returned to hospital where they could see their entire family gathered along with Shristi and Sarla aunty.

Sarla started moving towards Karan and slapped him, “What has my daughter done to deserve this? Why she always has to pay for your mistakes? I trusted you and gave my daughter’s hand to you and you abandoned her. Now she is fighting for her life because she is a selfless soul couldn’t leave after seeing getting Rishabh kidnapped. Your family doesn’t leave a single chance to humiliate my daughter and for what because we are middle class.” She was frantically sobbing. Karan just hugged her. “ I know I've done million mistakes but one of my mistake turned out to be the best decision of my life. Marrying Preeta. You chose Prithvi for her and even after repetitive warming you chose to believe Prithvi instead of me. Everyone here believed Prithvi and Sherlyn to be sweet and noble. But see what they turn out to be. I apologize to you Sarla Maa for every mistake I have committed and I’m ready to do anything to get your forgiveness.” Sarla could see the pure intention love and care in Karan’s eye for her daughter. The thought about what would have happened if Prithvi would have married  Preeta, shudders her entire body. “Karan beta, if Preeta forgives you who am I to deny my forgiveness. I leave the decision on Preeta. I know my daughter is mature enough to take responsible and correct decision.”
Rakhi and Rishabh apologizes to Sarla. Meanwhile Police arrives to arrest Sherlyn. Sherlyn starts sweating seeing police over there.

Police – “We have arrest warrant against Sherlyn Luthra for being an accessory in abduction of Mr Rishabh Luthra.”
Rakhi and Kareena are astonished and comes in Sherlyn’s defense. “Inspector do you release about whom you are taking. She is Mrs. Sherlyn Rishabh Luthra, why would she abduct her own husband. You seen to have some misunderstanding.” “l’m really sorry Miss Luthra. But we have received complaint as well as proof so we will have to take Mrs Sherlyn with us. You can get try to get bail if you wish to. Constable arrest her and bring her to the police jeep.”
Kareena was baffled, “ Who has complained about our daughter in law? These Aroras and what proof do you have that Sherlyn is involved in this with Prithvi?
Police – “Mam please you can come and see the proof in police station or court. Also if you insist on telling who has complained, its Mr Karan Luthra who has reported a FIR against Mrs. Sherlyn. I would advise you not to interfere in police work.”
Sherlyn was pleading that she is innocent and hasn’t done anything, but it went to deaf ears and police took her away. After she left, Karan shown numerous calls to Prithvi from Sherlyn’s mobile and the recording too. Everyone was guilty to trust both of them and for not believing on Karan and Preeta. Sarla came forward and apologized to Karan and thanked him for saving her daughter from such a cruel person. She was drowning in guilt thinking about the time she pressurized Preeta to get married to Prithvi knowing she was married to Karan.

Karan asked everyone to go home and take rest. He will stay in hospital as doctor has asked to keep Preeta for another day. Shristi was adamant to not go and stay with Karan and finally everyone agreed to her and left Karan and Shristi in hospital.
Karan and Shristi were sitting outside the room, waiting for Preeta to wake up. They both looked tired. Thinking about both of them Sammy came back to hospital. “ Karan bhai you haven’t eaten anything since morning. Please let’s go to hospital cafeteria and get you some food. Shristi is also tired and need energy. Please both of you need to take care of Preeta bhabhi and for that you need to be healthy.” On lot of insistence from Sammy and after checking with nurse, all three of them headed towards cafeteria. Sammy brought dinner for all and they are silently. Sammy asked Shristi to go back to home and come in morning but she was adamant to be by Preeta’s side. Sameer knew Karan wouldn’t leave so thought it would be better if Shristi stays with him here and he left. Karan and Shristi got inside the room, there was only one bed for attendant and Preeta was soundly asleep. Karan asked Shristi to sleep on spare bed and took a stool beside Preeta and sat there. Shristi was happy to see Karan caring for her sister like she means the world to him. Thinking about them she lied on bed and exhaustion overtook her and she slept.
Karan was caressing Preeta’s face and kissing her knuckles intermittently. He was remembering all the eye locks and  how she would fall and he would catch her in his arms. How she slapped Monisha and stood like a rock when no one stood by him and proved him innocent. He was remembering their banter but then all the bitter memories starts flooding in. How he insulted her threw her out if his house and broke all relationship, how he married her and left her on a lonely road, how he  announced his marriage with Mahira and forced her to participate in his wedding rituals. “Babydoll I became a monster and you still loved me cared for me. I’m missing my bajabatti a lot. You know I never wanted to marry Mahira but that divorce notice ignited a fire in which I burnt our relationship. I was cruel to you, today when I saw blood on you I was scared, my heart was almost ready to burst it felt like I will get a heart attack seeing you in that condition and I realized you mean the world to me Preeta Karan Luthra and I will die if you go away from me. I’m really sorry Preeta, I know I don’t deserve your forgiveness bit I’ll try, I will accept all your punishment but I’ll not let you go away from me. I have been trying to figure out what is it that I can always feel your pain even when I used to give you the pain, I realized it today, it’s LOVE. I’m in love with you Preeta don’t know since when but I I’m in love with you. I had been masking it with my anger but even then I always wanted to hold you handle you get lost in you.” Tears were rolling down from Karan’s cheeks into Preeta’s hand.

Preeta woke up when Karan held her hand and started crying and confessing his mistakes. Preeta saw Karan’s vulnerable side and decided to pretend being asleep so that Karan can let out everything, who knew if she wakes up he will stop talking. She could see the care, repentance and love in his voice, she was moved by his confession that he loves her, he loves only her and no one else. He didn’twany to marry Mahira but the circumstances have outplayed us and knowing Mahira she knew now that she manipulated Karan into marrying her. All of their enemies took advantage of their misunderstanding and further divided them. She resolved in her mind that now she will not let anyone come in between them even if she has to stand against her and his family. She gripped his hand tightly and  opened her eyes when Karan started sobbing and Preeta couldn’t bear his tears. “Karan you are my best friend and my husband.” Karan was astonished to see Preeta awake and started thinking did she hear everything he had been saying but he masked his emotions and asked her to take rest and not to say anything. But Preeta continued. “I’m alright Karan and I need to tell you few things. I understand how must have felt on feeling betrayed. I couldn’t handle Prithvi’s betrayal for couple of hours. It was piercing my heart that unknowingly I supported that monster who harmed you my family that too when my best friend warned me million times and I being an idiot didn’t listen to him. You too hurt me a lot, you shattered my heart but only you can heal my heart Karan. I’m tired of fighting against you, fighting with you for wrong reasons. I want to fight together against others who come in between us, who try to divide us and who harm us and our families. I want to forget the bitter past and move on into a new and happy chapter of my life with you. Seeing death from so close, I realized I had been fighting for wrong reasons, I should have payed heed to my instincts when they were telling me that Karan isn’t just your best friend. He is more than that.” Karan was bewildered and became statue listening Preeta’s confession and didn’t know how to react. Preeta wiped his tears and cupped his cheek “Earth to Karan”. Karan held her hand went forward to hug her. Hugging her “Preeta do you forgive me?” Listening this Preeta stiffened and Karan realize he isn’t forgiven. “ Karan I want to give us a new start. I want to forget everything and with time I might forgive you please for now I can just say that I want to walk with you and see where life takes us.”
“Preeta that is more than sufficient, I’ll make amends for my mistakes and soon the day will come when you will forgive me from your heart.” Saying this Karan kissed her forehead. “Now you should rest I’m here only so don’t worry about anything.” “Karan you too should go home and rest or rest here only there must be another bed here.”
“There is but Shristi is sleeping there, she wasn’t ready to leave and I thought when you wake up you might need some help so Shristi will be there for you.” Listening her name Shristi jumps off her bed and reaches near Karan and Preeta with a teasing smile. “I’m glad I didn’t go back to home otherwise how would I get to hear your heart felt apologies, love confession and new decisions. I’m so happy for you guys that you both accepted what you feel for each other and want to work on it. You can’t believe how I have been holding myself on that bed. Damn it’s so difficult to pretend to be asleep when there is rollercoaster of emotions. I need to give this news to Sammy, but he must be sleeping so what this is something for which sleep should be disturbed. He will be so happy with this new development.”
“Shristi you will not say anything to anyone right now. I first need to talk to maa about this and then you tell anyone else.” “Babydoll we both will talk to Sarla Maa tomorrow morning but now you should rest. You are still weak and need ample of rest to recover quickly.”
Agreeing with Karan Preeta closed her eyes and sleep overtook her as her heart is content with Karan’s presence. Shristi too went towards the other bed and lied down and drifted off to sleep. Karan held Preeta’s hand and slept in sitting position.
