"D-dad, you're moving too much!"
"Careful Migs! She could fall!"
"Don't worry so much, hon. I'll be careful," Miguno answered with a grin. He tightened his grip on Luna's legs on his shoulder to emphasize. Not without shaking his shoulders again afterward that is.
"W-whoa!" Luna hunched her body down to balance herself better.
"Migs I swear to god," Durham was standing in an alert stance, his tail behind him up and stiff, ready to catch her daughter if she ever fell from Miguno's shoulder, "Just let me carry her instead!"
"But dad's taller," Said Luna.
"Only by ten centimeters!" Durham huffed and crossed his arms "Jeez, how the heck did you get taller than me? You never even did much sports."
The two walked by some shades provided by the trees in the park, giving them a break from the noon sun's bright and hot light.
Miguno smirked smugly, "You could say I was a late bloomer."
Durham huffed, he furrowed his brows and scowled. If it wasn't for the fact that Miguno had basically known him for a long time, he might have thought the coyote was actually angry. So he went and teased him instead.
A hand came and pitched one of Durham's cheeks playfully, "Jeez, you're so cute when you're mad."
"Nn.. shut up," Durham swatted his hand away. He still appeared to be "angry" , but his scowl from before was gone.
"I can ride on your shoulders next time, daddy."
"Wh-" Durham's eyes widened slightly. He quickly averted his gaze, his cheeks showing a hint of red from blushing. "S-sure, I'll do it."
"Aww look at you now, being all bashful."
"S-shut up will ya! Or I'll poke your eyes out!"
Miguno smirked again, "But then I'll drop Luna. You don't want that do you?"
"You.." Durham squinted his eyes at the hyena.
Luna giggled seeing the quick back and forth of her fathers
The three continued their ways walking around the park, talking and poking jokes at one another along the way, passing by many other animals who were there.
"Okay.. my shoulders are kinda hurting now, why don't we rest for a bit," said Miguno. He walked to one of the park benches that was in the shades and crouched down, allowing Luna to drop off his shoulders.
They sat down on the bench, the dads sitting on the side while their daughter sat in the middle. Miguno breathed a long sigh of relief as he sat down.
Durham glanced sideways at Miguno, "What? Already tired from carrying her for just 10 minutes?"
"Pfft shut up, you know I'm not as physically active as you," said Miguno as he rolled his shoulders.
"Hell yeah I am! Just look at these guns," Durham proudly flexed and posed, showing his hard earned muscles to the other two.
"Woah.." Luna's eyes were full of amazement as he eyed Durham hard earned muscles . She immediately tried to do the same, but alas, to no avail, "What? Why??"
Miguno tilted his head to the side, a bit shocked, "You want muscles?"
The little husky eagerly nodded her head, "Cause it means I'm strong if I have them, just like daddy!"
"Yeah, that's the spirit! But you need to work out first to gain them," Durham said enthusiastically, his tail behind him wagged excitedly.
Luna tilted her head to the side, "Work out?"
"It's basically training, like exercises I guess," Miguno answered.
"Then I'll do that! I wanna be strong like daddy!" Luna beamed with excitement. "W-whoa!"
Durham grinned as he picked up Luna by her sides and carefully put her on his shoulders, "Sure you will." He stood up from the bench, "And I think it's time we continue our walk too, you had enough rest yet Migs?"
Miguno nodded before standing up as well, "Yup."
...
Miguno closed the door to Luna's room after tucking her into bed. He made his way over to the sofa where Durham was sitting on. He sat down next to him and leaned over, resting his head on the coyote's shoulder, yawning lazily after he got comfortable.
"Tired?" asked Durham, he glanced away from the TV to his husband.
Miguno shaked his head slowly, "No.. Just want to be close."
"Hmm.." Durham hummed and smiled. His eyes returned to the TV.
Miguno watched along with him for a few moments before speaking again, "Are you really going to train our little daughter? Take her to the gym?"
"Pfft of course not to the gym. " replied Durham, flabbergasted at Miguno's idea. "We can have her do more physical stuff like.. jogging or riding bicycles or something like that. I'm not going to just have her do my workout at the gym"
"Hm.. Well she's already way more active than the average girl, so I'm sure those will help her use up some of that overflowing energy in her." Durham looked down at his stomach and pinched it lightly. He sighed deeply, "Maybe I should work out too.."
"But didn't you say you didn't have time?"
"I know.. Maybe I can exercise early in the morning before doing anything else. But that'll have to be earlier than five thirty.." Miguno groaned and sighed again. "That's too early.. And then I'll be tired for the rest of the day.. Maybe I'm just destined to be fat and chubby. Sorry hon, you probably wanted a fit body to love huh.."
"C'mon, maybe we can work something out. We can first start with making your lifestyle healthier! And besides.." Durham's hands went and pinched the side of Miguno's stomach, "I'll still love ya even if you have a bit of a love handle or more, Migs. Don't be sorry."
Miguno gave a warm smile to the coyote, "You always know what to say don't you?"
"You got that right," Durham grinned widely at him. "Aren't I prince charming?"
"Hmph," Miguno let out an amused snort. "You're my prince charming."
"Yes I am," Durham leaned down to his side, giving his husband a quick kiss.
The two went back to what they were doing before, this time snuggled much closer in each other's warmth with their tails wagging idly behind them.
