A New Chapter of Life

A new Enemy

I'm swinging across the city. I've become somewhat of an icon for the city in the short time I've been here. It's been now a month since I arrived. So far I've taken down 3 of the many bases they have. Not much progress...

I swing to the tallest building in the city, the One World Trade Center. Apparently this one was built after a terrorist attack that took down two towers that looked identical. I look at New York and then up to the empty night sky.

Kazuki: I miss you guys...

Mizaki City

Day by day the Ninja Seeking Club becomes more impatient. It's been a month but Kazuki has yet to return.

Nanao: What if he never comes back like Ms. Kikuko said...?

Akari: We gotta think positively Nanao. He'll come back. It'll just take time...

Myu: Kazuki-senpai would want us to have fun while he's gone. So that's what we should try to do.

Lily: Myu's right. We can't keep moping around like this.

Yamabuki's POV:

I try to conjure something fun up in my mind. Each time I end uo thinking about the fun times we had with him.

Yamabuki: Grrr... It's no use...

I complain under my breath. I just hope he comes back.

New York

I'm listening to orders grom the hag about the leader of the group. I listen as carefully as I can.

Kikuko: His name is Yamada Konichi. He is probably more powerful than Guten himself so be careful. The lasses are extremely worried about you.

Kazuki: Tell them I'm fine. Or actually, can I talk to them?

Kikuko: Why, of course.

3rd Person POV:

Kikuko walks into the club room phone in hand.

Kikuko: Kazuki wants to talk to you all.

She tosses the phone on to the table and leaves to the hallway.

Akari is the first to grab the phone.

Akari: He- hello?

Kazuki: Oh, hey Akari.

Akari: Kazuki?! Is it really you?!

Kazuki: Yeah... it is.

Kazuki suddnely gets slaughtered with questions about his well-being.

Kazuki: I'm fine guys, I'm fine.

The door to the club room opens and in comes Hotaru alongside Setsuna and Mashiro.

Hotaru: Who're you talkkng to guys?

Akari: Hey, Kazuki?

Kazuki: Yeah?

Akari: Is it okay if we video call?

Kazuki: Yeah sure.

Hotaru immediately stopped talking and raced towards the group.

The phone then showed Kazuki. His face was a little scratched from fights but he had no serious injury.

Everyone: Kazuki!

Kazuki: Hey guys.

Nanao: Are you catching up on anime?

Kazuki: Trying to.

Enju: You're not acting like a hentai are you?

Kazuki: Of course not!

Lily: When do you think you'll return?

Kazuki frowned at that question.

Kazuki: To be frank, I don't know.

Hotaru: OMG! At least sugarcoat it a little.

Kazuki: Sorry. I'll try to go back as soon as possible.

Yamabuki: Been attracting a lotta attention over there I bet.

Kazuki: Huh?

Akari: Is it true Kazuki?! You're getting girls as friends?

Kazuki: What?! No! I don't exactly have time for that.

Akari heaves a sigh of relief in her mind.

Myu: So how are you doing?

Kazuki: Good. But... their leader is apparently stronger than Guten.

Everyone: What?!

Guten, the very man who nearly killed Kazuki by crushing him with a rock, was weaker than Kazuki's new enemy?

Tengge: Be careful hun, you nearly died fighting Guten. Are you sure you can beat this new opponent?

Kazuki: Yeah, besides, I didn't have any superpowers then.

Nanao: Don't die Kazuki!

Kazuki: I won't. Anyways, I'm gonna get some sle- WAH

Suddenly the phone call ends. The last thing they heard was Kazuki's scream of surprise.

Enju: What happened?!

Everyone was shocked at what they'd just witnessed.

Akari: Was he kidnapped?!

Nanao: No, he can't have been!

Kikuko stormed in at the sound of panic.

When informed of what happened, she shivered.

Kikuko: There's no doubt. Yamada has taken him...

Akari: You mean..?

Kikuko: Yes.

The room went silent after that.
