The voices whispered to me every second of the day. They had called to me everyday as far as I could remember.

Although, now, they had seemed to grow louder and clearer. I now realized that these voices were not the harmless whispers I had once thought, but malicious growls urging me to take a dark path.

These menacing presences never ceased to drain me of my energy and will. Some days I thought of giving in to the urges in hopes they would stop, but if only I had known they would only grow.

One day, while in the store, they growled at me to take something. They repeatedly told me that it wasn't going to be missed anyway. In an act of desperation, I glanced around the store, grabbed the skittles, and bolted.

For a short time I lived without the voices, I  had finally had a brief taste of the freedom I craved. Although, it to didn't last long. Soon the voices were back, but now they commanded me to do one thing and one thing only that I could not control.

This evil impulse coarsed through my very being. For months I had performed this sinister task and had not been apprehended, and now I know what the voices were...they were only me. Now, my human impulses gave me no choice but to...

kill.
