taehwan is your classic high school hype man. during spirit week he does the rollercoaster in front of the whole grade, and he screams his own name when he scores in hockey. he's extremely loud and rambunctious, and he never knows when to shut up. even when he's trying to whisper and be quiet he's loud. he's kind of oblivious to other people a lot of the time. he will stand in the middle of the hallway with opposing traffic to talk to his friends. he gets distracted easily, so if you ask him to do something, you will probably have to keep coaxing him back into focus. a lot of the time he just does whatever he wants, which, unluckily for him, usually tends to get him in trouble at school.
     taehwan is actually a really nice guy. sure, he seems like a total douche from the way he acts, but he's not a bad guy to talk to. well, if you can ignore the fact that he's definitely not the smartest. a lot of things just go right over his head, which can be annoying if you have to explain everything that you're saying all the time. but he's a nice guy and he would never hurt your feelings on purpose. if you tell him that he's doing something rude or wrong, he will do his best to fix himself and make sure it doesn't happen again.
     taehwan is a natural born leader. he knows what he wants to do and who he wants to be. he doesn't let other people disrespect him, and he doesn't do things just because other people are doing it. he is usually the one to step outside of his box and have his friends follow him. he can get angry sometimes when people are rude or disrespectful to him, which can be a bit intimidating. he usually isn't the time to go around hitting people, but if someone swings at him he will not hesitate to throw hands.

backstory ═ ∘♡༉∘ ═
hyun tae-hwan was born on march 22, making him an aries, baby. he is the oldest in his family, so he was looked up to by his younger brother, yu-jin, from the moment he was born. he was always a very energetic child, always running around and never able to focus on anything. when he was 6 years old, he started to develop tics. his parents noticed pretty quickly, since he tended to repeat things that people were saying. they brought him to a neurologist, and he was diagnosed with tourette syndrome and ADHD. his parents aren't exactly a fan of this, but they're as supportive as they can be. they just prefer that he doesn't take any medication.
     taehwan had to find something that he was able to focus on, and that thing for him was sports. he played hockey all year long, and it calmed any tic attacks he had, and he was able to focus on it pretty well. when he was 11 he also picked up lacrosse, which he plays in the spring. he was never good in school, so it was basically just sports for him. he gets himself in trouble a lot, because even when his tics aren't being disruptive, he's just a loud and pretty oblivious person.

- he is in the closet, since his family is pretty traditional; if he tells other people in the school it will get to his parents at some point
     - the majority of his tics are small motor tics, specifically nose twitching and blinking. he also makes a popping noise with his lips, flicks the air, and repeats things people say (infrequently).
     - he plays hockey in the winter and lacrosse in the spring, but he practices hockey in the fall as well
     - his freshman year he was accidentally put into a ceramics class for his art credit and that was interesting
     - he either dresses extremely basic or extremely fashionable, there is absolutely no in between
