Late into the night, you and Will made you way back to the ship to rest. Jack had run off with some woman and so had Gibbs, leaving the two of you alone.

"So, what's next fo you?" Will asked, joining you, leaning against the railing, admiring the moonlight. "After we find the Pearl, I mean."

"If we find it." You corrected. "I don't know." You answered truthfully. "You don't have anyone to go home to? A family?" The blacksmith asked. Normally, you'd mind people prying into your personal life but this was the first person you'd met who you felt comfortable confiding in. The only life you've known has been The Pearl, working to pay your dept, and it was unbearably lonely. "No. I don't." You said softly, staring at the moon. "Me neither." Will spoke. You reached up, pulling the pins out which previously held up your hair. Your locks came cascading down, framing your face effortlessly. As you pulled out the last one, you noticed Will. He was staring at you again, lips parted.

"What?" You asked, narrowing your eyes. The Turner shook his head, turning his back to you as he made his way to the crew quarters. "Goodnight Y/N."

"Goodnight Turner." You breathed out, a light smile on your lips. The sweet moment was ruined by a hand on your shoulder, you jumped, reaching to grab your sword, then realizing it was Jack. "Don't tell me you're getting attached, Darling." He tsked, gesturing in the direction Will went. "You undermine me." You grumbled, avoiding your real feelings. Nonetheless, Jack carried on. "A pirate and a Blacksmith, interesting couple, I must admit."

"It's delusional." You interrupted, shaking your head. The pirate grinned wildly. He was playing at something, you could tell, the question was: what? "That your way of telling me I have a chance?" He stepped forward, eyeing you carefully.
"You're trying to seduce me. Catch me off guard." You chimed, holding your stance, even though you were much smaller than him.

"Aye, is it working?" He questioned, voice low and sultry. You smiled sweetly, matching his low tone and seductive glare. "Well, Captain, I still think your a cheating, drunk. So, take that as a no."

"Or" He began, taking another step forward, he was close enough to the point you felt his hot breath on your neck, the rum he consumed heavy in the air. "perhaps you're too scared, love."
Instead of moving back, like you wanted to, you stepped forward, only inches separating you. You would play his game, long enough to find out what he really wanted.
"You underestimate me, again." You shot back, barely having time to finish your sentence because he pressed his lips to yours, pulling you flush against his body. The heated kiss caught you off guard but, you kept in character and didn't pull away, completely unaware of Will, who watched the encounter from the window before hurrying to bed, a pit in his stomach.

A sharp pain erupted in your chest and you pulled away from the kiss with a hiss of pain. Your mouth dropped in shock at the cause of the pain: Jack had the tip of his sword pressed against your heart. You scrunched your brows, confused at the lack of blood before the realization hit you, you still had your fathers journal tucked away and that's exactly what Jack was trying to find.
"Ah." He muttered, keeping his sword near you as he reached under your corset, grabbing the journal and pulling it out. "Don't!" You exclaimed, attempting to reach for it but the sword prevented any movement.
With his free hand, Jack flicked through the book, admiring the the half drawn maps and dribbles of half readable notes, detailing tales of curses and pirate codes. An emotion across jacks features but you couldn't tell what it was.

"You're looking for your father." He concluded, stepping back and dropping his sword.
"Barbossas the only one who knows him. Do you recognize the writing?" You questioned, reaching out for the book. Jack avoided your eyes, handing it back to you. "No... so you work for him?"
"He says one day I'll work my way up to the answers." You explained.

"Will you tell the boy ?" He shifted the topic to Will.
You tucked the book back behind the corset. "No. And neither are you."
Jack leaned against the railing, raising his eyebrows. "He'll find out eventually."

"But not now." You countered. It wasn't your motive that you didn't want Will finding out about. You could tell he wouldn't judge you for searching for your father. But, being part of The Black Pearls crew and using Will as bait was another story. It would ruin his trust. Ruin whatever was happening between you. "Savvy?" You extended your hand. Jack through for a moment before shaking it. "Savvy."
