"Wake up, Jerk-bender!" Sokka shouted. "We have a long day ahead of us!"
"Five more minutes?" Zuko groaned. He was confused as to why he had to wake up so early. Was this day important? Avatar business ended 7 years ago. Why'd he have to get up so early? Wait, Zuko remembered. Oh, Spirits, I'm stupid.
Sokka came over and kissed Zuko on the cheek. "Did you seriously forget about your wedding day?" He asked.
"No," Zuko teased. "And it's your wedding day, too!" He shoved the blankets off of himself and went to his wardrobe to get ready.
"Whatcha wearing?" Sokka asked. Zuko couldn't wear his wedding suit yet, so he chose a red Kimono with golden feather designs all over it and a golden trim. He wore a gold silk belt to match. Sokka was wearing something much more simple. A plain blue tunic with white accents.
Zuko started to grow out his hair more. Sokka really liked it because he could help with Zuko's hair.
Sokka helped Zuko tie his hair up and put the Firelord pin in it. Sokka could do his own hair. Because he was getting married that day, Sokka put his hair up in a top knot. It was a sign of wealth and power.
Zuko and Sokka both helped eachother put on their betrothal necklaces.
"Come on, sweetheart," Sokka told Zuko. "It's time to go greet our wedding guests. They should be arriving soon."
Sokka and Zuko arrived at the docks just as the first boat pulled in.
"Toph!" Zuko called. "It's so good to see you!"
"I've never seen you." Toph replied, then gave her best friend a hug.
"How's the metalbending academy going, Toph?" Sokka asked.
"Great!" Toph exclaimed. "I'm getting more and more lily livers— students every week! And some of them just graduated!"
Toph was dressed formal (for once), and was wearing a light green kimono with dark green and gold accents.
Appa landed on the dock, and Aang and Katara stepped off. Katara was wearing a traditional formal Water Tribe dress with small parts of her hair braided. Aang was wearing his usual Avatar robe and pendants.
"KATARA!" Sokka ran up to his sister and practically jumped into her arms. Zuko followed behind him (although not as fast).
"Hey, there, Sokka." Katara laughed. "It's good to see you, too!"
While Zuko was greeting Aang, Sokka bombarded his sister with questions. "How's the Water Tribe?", "How's Gran-Gran doing?", "Is it still as cold down there?", etc., etc.
"Stop asking me questions, Sokka!" Katara complained. "It's your big day! This is supposed to be about you and Zuko!"
Zuko bowed respectively. "It's good to see you, Chief Katara."
Sokka elbowed his fiancé. "Oh, stop being so formal, Fire Lord! After today, Katara will be your sister-in-law!"
"Ow," Zuko rubbed his arm.
The last boat for early guests pulled in, and Iroh stepped out.
"Uncle!" Zuko cried, and ran up to hug Iroh.
"You look so handsome, Fire Lord Zuko." Iroh told him. "You as well, Lord Sokka."
"I'm not a lord yet, Iroh." Sokka said, then bowed respectfully.
Iroh pulled Sokka into a hug. Sokka was shocked, at first, but then gladly returned it.
Someone else stepped off of the boat that Toph arrived on.
