XV - Battle Tournament Part 2

"So.. you guys wanna grab some pizza after all this? I know a good place." John asks as Lunch Rush gives him his food order.

"Sure, I could go for some eating and relaxing." The blondie, Denki, says as they sat down on a table, sitting with Sero whilst John sat with Jiro.

"So who do you guys think will be getting first place?" Sero says as he began digging into his food.

"It's honestly either Todoroki or John over here" The blonde smirks as he points at the black haired teen in front of him, whom was peacefully eating his burger.

He chewed for a bit before swallowing the food, then chuckling softly. "Well.. I did used to be the best before."

"Used to be? What do you mean?" Jiro asks, looking over to her left to look at John. "Are you talking about your old school?"

'Crap, I accidentally slipped. Gotta find an excuse or something..'
John thought as he slightly panicked, not wanting any of them to know of his dark past.

"Oh.. uh, yeah. They always said I was the strongest because of my abi-quirk so uh.. yeah" He rubs the back of his head as he chuckles nervously.

The other three eyed him, but shrugged it off anyways.

The four sat down by the seats, as the recreational activities began. There wasn't really much to it, so they just talked while waiting.

Kirishima and TetsuTetsu had an arm wrestling when they recovered to determine who will move up the bracket.

It was close but the redhead took the win, thus entering the preliminaries.

And now, it was time for the Battle Tournament to resume once more.

Izuku Midoriya VS Shoto Todoroki

Fumikage Tokoyami VS Mina Ashido

Tenya Iida VS John Doe

Eijiro Kirishima VS Katsuki Bakugo

"Looks like Izuku is going up against Todoroki.." John crosses his arms, wondering how this will end. "Think he'll end up in a glacier too?" The yellow haired pikachu asked, looking over at Sero with a smirk, the latter scoffing.

"Nah.. Deku's quirk is self-destructive, that's for sure. But it still releases strong power. I once heard that he one shot one of those zero pointers during the entrance exam." John explains, while also remembering when he saw Izuku's immense aura.

"FOR THE FIRST MATCH UP FOR THE QUARTER FINALS! WE HAVE SELF DESTRUCTIVE BROCCOLI, IZUKU MIDORIYA!!" Present Mic shouted, his booming voice heard throughout the arena.

"AND ON THE OTHER SIDE, THE ONE THAT GIVES THE COLD SHOULDER TO EVERYONE, SHOTO TODOROKI!!"

The crowd cheered, expecting a really good fight after everything they saw from the two.

"Start!" Midnight whips the air, signalling the start of the match.

And in an instant, Todoroki sends out a glacier in Izuku's way, to which the latter managed to react quick enough and used his quirk, charging up his finger as he flicked it, sending out enough pressurized wind that shattered and destroyed Todoroki's glacier.

This also pushed Todoroki almost out of bounds, if not for him stopping his momentum with ice walls on his back.

This shocked the crowd, as Todoroki goes with another glacier, to which Izuku once again destroys it with a finger flick.

"Woah! They're actually evenly matched?!" Sero exclaims.

"No. Todoroki is only using half of his power, and Izuku's fingers are breaking with each use" John explains, looking deeply into the fight.

"Todoroki is also beginning to suffer from frostbite, due to him not using the flame side of his quirk. If he threw whatever reason he has for not using it, he would win against Izuku no doubt about it."

On Izuku's third strike to clear Todoroki's glacier, he gets thrown off balance from the force of the wind.

The half and half charged at the moss haired boy.

"Looks like Shoto Todoroki is getting up close to take the opening!!" Present Mic shouted.

Todoroki quickly sends a quick straight line of ice towards Izuku, which the green hair just jumps away. However, the ice makes a contact for a brief moment with his foot.

Izuku quickly charged up his left arm, and blasts the stage with strong wind pressure, blowing away the ice and shoving Todoroki back.

But the half and half managed to stop his momentum with more ice around him, mostly on his back. 

"There goes his left arm" John says, exhaling a breath as he continues to watch. "Wonder how he'll come up after this"

Todoroki was trembling from cold, while Izuku was shaking from pain.

But, the former once again tries for another attack with a glacier, to which the latter once again blows it away with his broken finger, giving it a deeper purple color.

The two had an exchange of words, only having few of them loud enough to hear for some people.

Todoroki then began to advance. "His movements are slow!" John and Bakugo thought at the same time while watching Todoki charge, his right arm practically dangling behind.

Izuku ducks, dodging Todoroki's attack, and got a solid hit on him right on the stomach.

The two then began having a sloppier looking attack, but were pretty much neck to neck. 

Izuku even used his thumb by slinging it with his cheek. Talk about crazy.

Eventually, Izuku yelled loudly.

"It's your power, isn't it?!"

Then suddenly, Todoki bursts in flame.

"He actually used it?!" John exclaims, looking intensely at the flames, then at Midoriya. "But.. why? Why would he push Todoroki to use his flames?" He furrows his eyebrows, wondering why Izuku would put himself on a massive disadvantage.

Meanwhile, Endeavor began shouting as he walked down the stairs.

"SHOUTOOOOOOOOO!!!"

"wtf" John looks at the fiery hero dumbfoundedly.

"Have you finally accepted yourself? Great!"
"It all starts here from here for you! With my blood you will surpass me and fulfill my desire!"

"Endeavor suddenly shouts.. encouraging words..?" Present Mic said with confusion.
"Such a doting father.."

Todoroki ignores his father, and eyes down Midoriya. 

Midorya began powering up his legs, as he jumps high and forward, dodging Todoroki's massive ice attack as he readies his left hand for the fire.

While Midoriya readies his right arm for a strong attack.

Walls of stone by Cementoss was put up to try and stop the two from wrecking each other, which hardly did anything as a massive explosion occured.

"W-what the heck just happened?!" Present Mic shouted, as he was upside down from the force of the blast.

And when the dust cleared..

Midorya was out of bounds, lumping down unconsciously to the ground while Todoroki stands, huffing as his left shirt was burned off.

"I-It's Shouto Todoroki's Victory!!"

The crowd cheered as Midoriya was taken away to be sent into the infirmary, and for a short break to commence for the arena to be repaired from the last fight.

"Damn.. that was one hell of a fight" Kaminari says as he leans back on his seat, along with the others who were previously tensed up and on edge watching the fight.

"Yeah.. looks like in the end, Todoroki won as I predicted" John says, sighing as he watched Midoriya get taken away.



'Why..? You could have won easily'
