I twirled across the empty room to the sweet music. It was like a trance. The music ended and I stopped, suddenly a little dizzy and out of breath. I heard someone slowly clapping behind me and looked up at the mirror. Standing in the doorway was my brother's best friend, Matt. I smiled at him warmly. He was practically my brother, and I'd known him since I was 5. I turned and walked over to him.

"Are you just so obsessed with me that you cant help but watch me?" I teased him.

"Ha. Don't flatter yourself," he smirked and playfully ruffled my hair. I swatted his hand away and laughed. Matt was almost a head taller than I was, and all the girls flocked to him. He had warm brown eyes and sandy hair. He always joked that he was meant to be a model, but was trapped in the life of a normal teen. Not that I would admit it to him, but I kind of agreed.

"Well I'm on my way home and I was wondering if you needed a ride...?" he asked. We lived on the same street, so we ususally rode together.

"Sure," I told him, turning and walking to the corner of the studio. "I just need to grab my stuff." I pulled my hair out of its messy bun and ran my fingers through it. I shoved my pointe shoes and my water bottle in my bag and stood up.

"Ready?" he motioned towards the door.

"Sure." I smiled and walked outside. I'd be back tomorrow.

I walked inside my house, turning to wave at Matt as he pulled out of my driveway. I stepped into the house. It was empty, as usual. My mom was at work, my brother was out with his ditzy girlfriend, and my sister was probably at one of her friend's houses. I threw my bag on the stairs and wandered into the kitchen. I grabbed a bag of gummy bears and headed upstairs to my room.

My room was pretty small, and it wasn't very interesting. The walls were a light purple and I had my bed in a corner next to my window. It was cozy and I loved it. I plopped down on my bed and grabbed my computer, logging into Netflix. I snuggled up with my gummy bears and watched Gossip Girl for the hundredth time. I'd watched it so many times before, but I loved it. I wanted to live on the Upper East Side, and I wanted to be rich and have a life so interesting someone actually blogged about it. Maybe one day I'd make it big as ballerina and move to New York. That had been my dream ever since I was 7, and I was determined to make it happen.

Hey guys! Well actually, I doubt anyone's actually reading this, but I can dream. This is my first time writing something like this, so don't judge. I hope if you did read it, you liked it. I'm gonna try to update soon, so yeah. See you soon! :)
