Vixen

It's been 27 days since the raid. In these 27 days, I have not gained any knowledge of Andy or where he could possibly be. All I know is that he still hasn't been captured because his picture remains on the news. Or maybe he's dead and his body hasn't been found.

Look, I'm trying to be as optimistic as I can, but this shit's hard. He should've been at the safe house by now, but he's not. What's taking him so long? I have no fucking clue.

Also, I tried calling Veronica a couple of times after our meeting at McDonald's and she didn't answer. I'm assuming she's been caught.

I do have some good news though. I'm able to sleep a little better. Those weird dreams I had of the shadow man have stopped, probably because I'm getting used to the idea of someday finding out that Andy's gone. I said I'm getting used to it, not that I'm ok with it.

I have so much anger, sadness, and frustration building up inside...

There's a lot of scary things in this world...but nothing compares to the monster I'll become if the universe doesn't give him back to me.

I find myself sitting outside in the rocking chair a lot. Sometimes I think I hear a car coming, but there's nothing. I might be going a tad bit crazy, sitting and waiting here for the moment Andy drives up to the house. It feels like I've been waiting forever for my husband to join me again. If the authorities don't kill me, my broken heart will.

Chilling on the chair outside, a breeze blew my hair into my face. As I swept it back behind my ear, my phone rang in my lap.

I picked it up, "hey, Amy, what's up?"

"The news. There are four of you left: you, Andy, Rio, and Mark." She informed me.

I sighed, "wow...they almost have all of us."

I had a feeling that it would be my class as the last assassins out there. What the FBI called the "Class A" assassins.

"I think you need to go farther away," Amy said. "They're going to find you sooner rather than later if you stay here."

"I don't know where else to go and these pictures are being shown to the country." I leaned forward, resting my elbows on my knees. "People could recognize me while I'm trying to leave. Can't risk it."

"...I'm trying to think of how to smuggle you outside of the country."

"You know...if they find me, I can't run," I said. "If they're coming for me, they're going to be prepared for any chance of escape I have."

"Don't say that. They won't find you."

I smiled weakly, "they will. I can't hide forever. Part of me wants to see the person who's hunting us down and what they're doing to us. Part of me would still like to put up a fight."

"Hold out as long as you can. Andy could come back any day."

"Amy...why isn't he here?" I asked.

"Honestly, I have no idea. I don't know where else he would've gone or why he hasn't shown up yet. Maybe they have him, but are keeping his picture posted so they can lure you out to go look for him."

"Good theory, but how would they know we're married? I don't think Andy would tell them."

"True...still, try to wait for him."
