Bad didn't exactly say that the two he met up were 'nice.' But it was enough for Skeppy to see the others, which Bad didn't think they'd actually be nice. Unlike Tina and Grian...
The hooded boy sat down across from the boy in red. The girl in the tiger onzie took a seat in the chair at the desk at the side of the room. She turned it to face the desk, and sat with her legs around the back of the chair. The three sat in silence for a few seconds.
"Well, uh, I guess we already know each other, but we can introduce ourselves again?" Grian started out. Bad looked up and watched the shorter boy rub the top of his head, messing up his hair. All three players seemed tense, the tension thick enough to cut with a butter knife. Bad didn't like that.
"Yeah... I'll go first. I'm BadBoyHalo, but you can refer to me as Bad." The hooded boy sat up straighter, to show he wasn't as nervous he sounded. He figured that would make up for it.
Grian smiled in response. Tina bitterly muttered a 'Hello.' That put Bad on edge, why was she acting like this? It's not like he was going to murder her.
"My name is TinaTheTiger. But call me Tina or you'll end up as discombobulated as Goldy." She said with salt. The sudden use of larger words startled Bad a bit. He didn't think the short sloth girl was confused in any way. She seemed perfectly fine in his eyes. But what Bad did notice was how far apart they stood, when everyone was gathered.
Grian cleared his throat, "I'm Grian." There was more silence.
"Are we done here? I need to get back to people I can trust," Tina lashed her tail. Grian looked up with surprise, and Bad with shock. Back at the first meeting she wasn't acting this rash.
"What do you mean? You don't trust us?" Grian stood up, gesturing to Bad and himself. Tina shook her head, and glared at both of them with haste. She stood up as well, her tail lashing side to side. "We won't kill you, I won't kill you." The shorter boy's face turned to a face of hurt.
Bad replayed his sentence inside his head, thinking that meant that Grian thought that he would kill her. "Hey! I won't hurt you guys either! I don't think anyone will, if they did, don't you think they would have struck by now?" Bad was still sitting down, but he seemed to have his shoulders tensed in a way that he would jump off the bed.
"There's a grace period, if you haven't heard. Oh wait, you probably talked over it.. you were better when you didn't talk. I didn't suspect you back then, you seemed too soft." Tina spat.
This was unlike her, and she knew it. But the words were flowing out of her mouth before she could stop herself. Once she realized what she had said, she quickly gasped, her tail freezing and dropping in between her legs. Her hands flew to her face, and her ears flopped.
Grian's expression was so crestfallen, that Bad had to choke back tears of sympathy. It was almost like Mr Squeegy dying all over again. The boy in the sweater took a deep breath, looking as if on the verge of crying, and whispered loud enough for them both to hear, "Then I guess I won't be speaking more, if it makes you feel safer." He grabbed the doorknob, his hands shaking. He didn't even look back when he left the room.
Tina had been whispering 'Sorry, I'm so sorry...' over and over again, so Bad ushered the tiger out, feeling sympathetic for both of them. This whole game was getting to them.
"You were right, Bad! I just needed to get to know them," Skeppy smiled to his friend, Mega rolling his eyes, hands in pant pockets.
