WARNING: DRINKING AND SMOKING AND STUFF.

TRIGGER WARNING: ATTEMPTED R*PE

MATT POV

I woke up and checked the time. It was 2 p.m. and I was still tired. I noticed Mello was still gone. That wasn't a good thing. What if Watari had kicked him out? No, I could make out his clothes on the ground. Did he run away? No, he just went out to grab some chocolate and they were still out. That had to be it! He wouldn't abandon me, would he?

MELLO POV

"Hey, guys, I gotta go--" I started but got cut off.

"Heh, no you don't!" One of the bigger guys said, passing me another shot. I didn't want to, but my reputation would crumble if I didn't do one little shot. I grabbed the glass and drank the little bit of alcohol. My brain was already starting to get fuzzy. I looked around at the woods surrounding the five of us. "Hey, blondie took it!" He passed me a cigarette. "Go ahead, kid!" I took the thing and lit it. It was my first time smoking. I didn't cough.

"Dang, little guy's resilient!" Another guy said, passing me a bottle of scotch. "Let's see if he likes this." I took the bottle and uncorked it. I took a sip. It was bitter and gross and it burned my throat as it went down. I loved it. I drank half of the bottle before the big dudes took if from me.

"Woah there, buddy." The third guy said.

"Give it to me!" I said reaching for the bottle and stumbling to the ground.

"Little dude's drunk!" He handed me a cigarette again. I took it and breathed smoke into the air. I laughed as the wind blew it back into my face.

"No I'm not!" I insisted. "I-I'm just, uh, drunk!" I said and burst out laughing. I put the cigarette the my mouth again.

"You wanna give me your phone?" The first guy said. "I'm gonna text goggles kid." I nodded and handed it to him, not giving a fuck at this point. What could he do anyway? I reached for the scotch again and got hold of it this time. I took the bottle and ran about ten feet and chugged the rest of it. "He's on his way." He handed me my phone and I shoved it in my pocket. My eyes were watery and dry at the same time. The world was shaky. I fell to the ground and the five of them towered over me. They pulled me up, but I fell down again. The leaned me against a tree and giggled. I don't know why, but this was an amazing feeling. I was lightheaded.

MATT POV

I rushed outside and looked around, hoping to see some trace of my missing boyfriend. I circled the orphanage several times, but nothing. My phone buzzed in my pocked, and when I took it out, Mello's name appeared on the screen.

Mello: Hey, I need to tell you something. Meet me in the woods by the second crosswalk. This is pretty serious, so come alone.

This was odd. Mello never spelled things correctly, and he never put periods in his texts. I was suspicious, but he had been like this once or twice when he was upset... so I agreed.

Matt: I'll be there in five

I ran inside and grabbed a pocket knife from my nightstand. I rushed outside again and started towards the destination. My hand clenched the knife as I pushed my way through some low hanging branches as I entered the woods. It wasn't long until I saw movement, so I ran toward it. But it wasn't Mello at all. It was a teenager with unusually large muscles. He looked to be 18 or so. Four other guys joined him, all with the same description. And then another person stumbled out into my vision. This one was shorter than the others and looked around my age. He had shoulder length blonde hair... and his name was Mello. My eyes had started to adapt without my goggles, so I was positive it was him. I rushed toward him, but I was stopped by a large arm clothes-lining me. I hit the ground and rubbed my neck. The bigger guys chuckled. "Not so fast, Goggles." One of them said and lifted me up by pulling my arm straight into the air. I let out a noise from pain, but they ignored me. "What do we have here?" The same one said. He pulled the pocket knife out of my hand and examined it.

"Give it back!" I said, trying to pull away from his grasp and reach for the knife at the same time. He held it out of my reach and pretended to play with me like I was a cat. I stopped reaching for my knife when I heard a giggle behind me.

"Matty's a kitty cat!" He said. I turned around and saw Mello was the one laughing. I looked at him and glared. Why was he with these jerks and why was he playing along with them? I really felt hurt deep down, but I couldn't cry in front of these guys. I regained my composure and kicked the guy holding me right where it hurts. But before I could run, one of the others punched me in the face as I turned around. I fell to the ground and felt a stinging pain as my arm was split open with my own knife. I yelled out for Mello but he just stood there watching with wide eyes.

What was wrong with him? The Mello I know would've intervened as soon as they grabbed me. I tried to stand up, but I was punched back to the ground. I started to tear up and tried to blink them away. They rolled down my face anyway though. This caused the others, including Mello, to laugh. "Is Goggles sad?" One of the big guys said. I rolled over onto my stomach and Near's words echoed in my brain: 'You may want to watch out from now on.' I tried to push myself up, but I was pushed back to the ground. I felt a heavy weight on my back as one of them sat on me. I coughed, struggling to breathe. A hand grasped my head, pulling my hair a bit, and shoved my face into the dirt on the ground, making it even harder to get air. When they pulled my head back up, I saw Mello staring me head on.

"Go ahead, Blondie. Do whatever you want!" I heard from behind me. Mello looked at them and smiled.

"Get off of him," He said, smiling at them. I prepared myself for worse pain as breath filled my lungs again. He rolled me over onto my back and I tried to grab my cut. Mello kneeled next to me, and laid down on top of me. My eyes widened as he hugged me. What was he doing? My breath hitched as he started to unbutton my pants. I kicked him off of me.

"WHAT THE HELL, MELLO?!" I shouted. I tried to run, but I felt Mello's arms wrap around my waste.

"Wait," He said. "Please let me." I shoved him off of me and stared at him. That's when I realized why he wasn't himself. I smelled the alcohol on his breath and his shirt smelled like smoke.

"Mello, what's gotten into you?!" I yelled in his face. "Why are you drunk?!" I turned to leave again, but he grabbed onto my leg.

"Don't go!" He said. He reached his hand up and tried to touch me, but I kicked him off of me before he could. I was able to run this time and I made it to the sidewalk just outside of the woods, but before I could make it to the orphanage, I was shoved to the ground. I turned to see Mello holding my knife. He lied down on top of me and tried to work my shirt off of me, but I wouldn't let him. "I will," he said, holding up my knife. I shook my head.

"Mello, this isn't you." I still resisted. I wasn't ready for this, plus we were in public now. He took the knife to my arm again, making a smaller slash under the other one. I didn't flinch. I was numb from my emotions. I didn't care anymore. I just wanted to go back to Wammy's and wake up from this like a nightmare, but I knew that wouldn't happen. He looked at what he'd done, and gasped.

"I-I," He tried to talk, but he instead passed out on top of me. I shoved him off, and after a bit of debate with myself, I picked him up bridal style and ran towards the orphanage.
