Edward and I haven't said a word since the nock on the door
"Who is it?" I whisper
"Stay here, Ella" he whispers back, he gets up and walks out the door on the right side at other end of the long room
"Edward" I whisper shout before he leaves, not sure if he heard me or ignored me
This is the last place I want to be, alone with my thoughts. I get out of bed and walk into the middle of the room. There are two couches facing each other with a coffee table in the middle of them, with a tea set that seems to have never been touched on it. I walk over to the left, where the tall windows are. The view from the room looks over the garden. There are hundreds of people walking in it.
There's a bright flash across the windows. I turn around to face the room squinting my eyes shut, I blink multiple times trying to regain vision. I'm in a new room, a kitchen. There's a wooden table set in front of me, and the kitchen sink and counters behind me. The room feels familiar, I can't put my finger on it. There are two girls one with brown hair and the other with blond hair sitting eating breakfast together in silence. They don't seem to notice me. Then I hear foot steps coming down stairs
A thin woman in a blue dress comes in, "girls, you're going to be late!" The girls hurry to clean up their plates and run out the door
"Where are they going?" I ask as they close the door. I don't get a reply, I turn around, maybe she didn't hear me. She's no longer there. I'm outside now, the little girls are walking by me, with a boy catching up behind them
"Who is he?" I ask, but they don't notice me "girls?" I ask as the walk by me "girls!" I shout, they didn't hear me
The boy catches up to them, he has blond hair "hello girls" he smiles to them as he walks with them
I begin to walk behind them, then on my left I hear ticking. I look over and now I'm in a classroom, the teacher is writing something on the blackboard for the class. I see the three of them again but they look about four years older now. The boy is passing the brunette a pease of paper, her cheeks redden when she reads it. The teacher catches her, "Ella, what is that?" She shouts
"Nothing" she crumbles the note
"Give me that, let's see what it has to say, what do you think class?" The teacher takes the paper and opens it infront of the classroom, a few feet away from me
"Would you like to go on a picnic with me?" She read "isn't that cute" the teacher fake smiles and rips up the paper then continues to write on the board
'That's me' I think to myself staring at myself as a girl
We're now on the picnic date with the blond boy, they laugh and eat sandwiches that is mother made for them. As the sun went down and the moon came out, they stared at the stars together.
"I have to go home, Niall" she whispers
"Just stay a little longer" he says and takes her.. My hand
'That can't be' I think to myself
I lay down on the grass and look at the stars, pictures of Niall and I growing up together flash before my eyes. Throwing paper planes at each other in class, detention, Our first school dance, first kiss, first party, prom, graduation and everything in between was with him. He wasn't lying when he said I'm his mate.I stand up, now I'm in a little apartment in a new kitchen
"Ella?" A voice calls from the other room
I don't respond, they can't hear me anyway. I hear the foot steps coming towards the kitchen. I just stand there, waiting for them to come. Then there he is, Niall, standing in a suit buttoning up his shirt.
