hi guys! I just wanna say I AM SO SORRY FOR THE WAIT. I was on vacation, then i lost my computer, then i just didn't have the motivation to update:(ik that doesn't excuse the wait time). Anyways, i hope you enjoy!<3

I woke up gently to smell of bacon drifting up the stairs. As the world slowly came into focus, I noticed that the red-haired boy in the bed across from me was gone, probably downstairs. As I stretched and removed my covers, I noticed the light streaming through the windows and realized it must be close to noon. Smiling, I realized I hadn't slept that well in a very long time.

I got up and made my way downstairs, trying to smooth my perpetually messy hair. Annabeth had always called it windswept, she was probably the only one who liked that trait about me. I stopped in my tracks, the recollection that I'd never see her again rushing in on me like a tidal wave. It felt like all the light and warmth surrounding me before had turned into a dark cloud, slowly moving in and suffocating me.

I steadied my breath and squeezed my eyes shut, trying to stay calm, I didn't need to shove my issues on these people. They have enough on their own, besides I should be strong enough to handle it myself.  I came here to help them, not for therapy. Shaking my head to clear my thoughts and taking a deep breath, I moved towards the kitchen door at the bottom of the stairs.

As I was about to turn the brass knob however, I heard a muffled argument going on inside. Peeking through the keyhole I identified the first speaker as the woman who welcomed me last night. She seemed to be lecturing a gaunt looking man with long black hair, an angry expression planted on his pale face.

"Sirius, I know you're upset and this looks rather bad given the circumstances, but Dumbledore wouldn't have sent him here unless he knew he was good. Besisdes, he's just a boy, no older than Ronald or Harry."

The man then angrily responded, "Well guess what Molly, You Know Who was evil when he was their age and this 'boy' as you call him is exactly the same! Don't even try and pretend like there's a possibilty of him being innocent, he's Voldemort's GRANDSON for god's sake!"

"DONT SAY HIS NAME!" Molly shrieked.

"WHY NOT MOLLY! WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN, IS HIS SPAWN GOING TO APPEAR IN THE HOUSE OR SOMETHING? Oh, that's right, it already has." Sirius huffed and turned away from her, obviously done with the conversation.

Suddenly the red-haired boy Percy saw sleeping last night piped up, "well when I saw him sleeping this morning he didn't look evil. He looked kind of peaceful if I'm being honest" The 3 other red-heads, most likely his siblings, nodded in agreement.

One of them, a girl, responded "yea, isn't half of what we stand for not judging people by their bloodline?"

Sirius just sighed and muttered, "the apple doesn't fall that  far from the tree, that's all I'm saying."

Despite the fact that a man in there wanted to murder me, I decided this would be the best moment to enter, so I slowly slipped through the door trying to stay unnoticed for as long as possible. Of course, my luck didn't last, because next thing I know the man called Sirius had me shoved up against the wall, a wand pointed at my head.

Everyone else looked shocked and Molly screamed, "SIRIUS LET HIM GO!"

In a scarily calm voice, Sirius hissed into my ear, "why did he send you here? Answer me truthfully and I won't kill you. Probably."

I knew I could easily disarm him, but since I was just supposed to be some wimpy kid from New York,  I figured that wouldn't exactly help in diffusing the situation.

"I-I don't know what you're talking about man, p-please let me go" I whimpered out, trying my best to act afraid.

When Sirius responded, the former blanket of calm had completely left his voice. He roared at me, "TELL ME THE TRUTH YOU MALICE, OR ILL MAKE YOU!"
