Conor's Point Of View Chapter! :)
I don't get it. I really don't. She didn’t care about her own safety for that moment. She just walked up and tried to break up a fight. This little, meek and mild woman just strolled up to two men mid-fight and broke it up. Why? She had no idea who either of us were... She could have kept walking. How that would have ended I’m not too sure, I’m thankful that she did turn up, but still...
I stand in my bathroom and stare into the mirror. I couldn't get my head round this girl. I couldn’t get her out of my head. Not even in a loving way, just in a baffled way. She didn’t even accept the tickets! She just left. And all I knew was her name, Ella. She just walked in, punched a guy, found out what was going on and left! It was a struggle to persuade my manager to come with me to the station and help her out after the medic saw her get arrested but I’m so glad he did, at least then I know she is alright and won’t get charged for nothing. Seriously that guy... Hope he gets what he deserves. Coming up to me and starting something is one thing, but to hit a girl? That is just wrong. I think it's lucky Ella smacked him in the face, cos I certainly would have done otherwise. The fact he even spoke to her like that made me angry... Anyway.
I stroll round my house, but yesterday just keeps playing in my head over and over. My phone rings.
"Yo Mike, what’s up?" I try to sound cheery.
"That girl. The one from yesterday?" That was the beginning. No beating round the bush with my manager. Just straight to the point.
"Ella?" I knew who he meant, I just had to ask.
"Yeah. We need to find her." He said bluntly.
"Why?" I'm so confused it’s not even funny...
"I want her on the team. You could do with someone to blend in with the fan girls but keep them off you." Thanks for making me sound useless!
"Why? I can handle myself!" As much as I thought it was a good idea, the idea of hiring a GIRL to look after me made me cringe. If anything I need a big 7ft male body guard to scare everyone. Wow that sounded sexist... I didn’t mean it to, I promise!
"Like you handled yourself yesterday?" Michael said sternly. "Now either you're gonna find her, or I am. Get it?" Michael hangs up. Talk about an impossible task.
I sat down on the sofa, got comfy and went on my phone. Twitter. The way I can connect to anyone around the world who even knows my name. I log in, up to 900,000 followers. I am a little awesome. Anyway, I write so many things but delete them and re-write them. 'She left without any warning, and I wanna talk to her. #FindElla' Tweet. Done. Within minutes it was a trend. People were tweeting me and DMing me asking who she was and if we were going out. The joys of being known in the public eye. I only hoped that Ella or her friend Hannah had twitter so they could see this, otherwise this was beyond a waste of my time. I began to give up when people changed their profile names to 'I'm Ella' or 'Conor you're looking for me' and tweeted me saying they'd found me. I threw my phone on the sofa and looked up to the ceiling. My phone buzzed a few more times, but I ignored it. BBZZZ BBZZZZ. it went on and on. Finally I picked it up and scrolled through what people had said to me; but one reply caught my eye. '@Ellalle Amazing what social networking can do, my mate saw this. What do you need saving from now?' This was her. I smiled cheekily. Don’t know why. I followed her so I was able to direct message her. I sent her my number and asked her to meet me somewhere quiet. Hopefully we won’t end up in a fight this time and hopefully we can talk, like normal humans, with no issue with me being famous. Just a normal conversation between Ella and normal Conor. God it felt weird having to say 'Normal Conor'... But she's the only one who knows the normal me...
