(Possiverse)"I am not Gosalyn," the redheaded girl said. She fiddled with her hands nervously. Drake stood there with his jaw gaping. The girl went on. "I'm not Gosalyn, I am really bad at hockey and skating, I have a strong distaste for these clothes," she said, tugging at her shirt. "This isn't my real voice," she said, her voice going a bit higher than Gosalyn's. "I have a strong distaste for words like hate, keen gear, and dude," she said, like it was some sort of disease. "If you're not Gosalyn then who are you and where is my daughter!" Drake demanded. Honker stood behind him, a little worried.
"Well, technically, I am Gosalyn," she said. Drake raised an eyebrow. She sighed. "I am Gosalyn, but not your Gosalyn. I'm her counterpart from another dimension," she explained. "Another dimension? Now it just sounds like you're making this up!" he said. She shook her head and waved her hands defensively. "No, it's true! I'm from an alternate universe called the Negaverse. There, everything is opposite, which is why I'm not so great at pretending to be your Gosalyn," she said. "Well, Gosalyn, or whoever you are, where's my daughter!" he said.
"You can just call me NegaGosalyn. And your daughter is in the Negaverse," she said. Drake's face was red with anger. "I didn't want to do this!" she argued. "Hmm, why don't I believe you? Could it be because you tried to KILL me!" he fumed. NegaGosalyn rubbed her arm sadly.
Drake sighed. "Alright, I have to find my daughter and figure out what to do with you," he said. He walked towards the door. "Get in the car," he said, opening the door. "Wait, since you know who I am now, can I go change. Like I said, I can't stand these clothes," NegaGosalyn asked. Drake rolled his eyes. "I hate you, but alright. Be quick!" he allowed. She went up the stairs to Gosalyn's room, looking back once.
She came back down the stairs in a pink dress. Her hair was curly and she had a big bow. "Mr. Mallard, sir? Can I go too?" Honker wondered. "Sure, just-" Drake sighed speechless. He was just a mix of emotions. He was scared for Gosalyn and mad at NegaGosalyn.
They arrived at McDuck manor. "Stay in the car, kids. Watch your back around her, Honker," Drake said, glaring at NegaGosalyn. She was a little intimidated by his gaze. Drake stepped out of the car and was confused by the police cars out front. "What's going on here?" he questioned. He found Launchpad sitting sadly on the steps of the mansion.
"Launchpad! L.P., what's going on?" Drake wondered. Launchpad looked up at him. "Dewey is missing," he frowned. Drake raised an eyebrow, not knowing who that was. "He's the blue triplet and my friend," Launchpad explained. Drake put a hand on his shoulder. "I'll help you find him. But first, Gosalyn's missing too!" he said. Launchpad jumped to his feet. "What? Again?"
"Well, no, we never saved her. Look, it's a little complicated, I'll explain in the car," Drake said.
Launchpad looked back at the mansion. "Come on, we'll find Bluey too," Drake said. Launchpad looked back at Drake. "It's Dewey, but okay. Plus, I'm sure Gizmo Duck can handle it here," Launchpad said. Drake rolled his eyes at the mention of Gizmo Duck. "Please, I'll solve the mystery of what happened to my daughter and what happened to that other kid before he can," he grumbled.
"Actually, Webby is missing too. So that's," Launchpad counted on his fingers. "That's three kids missing," he said.
Drake sighed. "Well, it looks like we've got our work cut out for us. Now come on, we've got to get back to the car before that murderer kills Honker."
Launchpad raised an eyebrow. "Murderer?"
"Like I said, it's a long story," Drake said.
...
NegaGosalyn stared at her hands in her lap. Honker watched her curiously. She didn't look very happy. Even though she had tried to kill someone, Honker still wanted to lighten the mood. "So... what's it like in your dimension?" he wondered. She glanced up at him then looked down again. "I have a strong distaste for it," she said sadly. Honker tweaked his beak. "Why?" "Because, and pardon my language, it sucks!" she said. Honker raised an eyebrow. For a murdering spy, she seemed a little too proper. "You said you didn't want to kill Mr. Mallard. Then why did you try?" Honker questioned.
He was surprised when she started crying. He didn't know what to say. When she wiped her tears, she said, "Negaduck made me." "Negaduck? That was the guy you were texting," he said. She nodded. "How did he make you?" he asked.
NegaGosalyn took in a deep breath. "Well, I guess that story starts a long time ago," she began. Honker looked at her attentively.
"Okay, my universe's version of Drake Mallard is not a nice man. He robbed banks and stuff, he was a criminal. Once, he stole a big red gem. But that big red gem was actually an artifact with mystical properties. It could send someone from the Negaverse to the Possiverse. It was called the Negagem. Now, the Negagem can only be used so many times. If it runs out, you have to find a new one. My world's Drake Mallard loved the idea of going between two dimensions. That's two worlds he could take over. So, he tried it out once or twice. But, for the Negagem to work properly, it must be set up with some sort of device, or else it could have side effects on the user.
"But Drake didn't care, despite having an adopted daughter at home," she said. Honker was interested in the story. But he felt bad for her. He set a hand on her knee. She wiped a few more years from her eyes. She looked so depressed.
"Well, Drake cared about the consequences a little bit. So much so that he thought to use his daughter as a test subject. So, he sent me to the Possiverse and back. Now, when I got back to the Negaverse, it seemed like everything was normal," she continued. "Except, that was several years ago and I look exactly the same," she added frustrated. Honker raised an eyebrow. "But you look the same age as this universe's Gosalyn," he thought out loud. "Time in the Negaverse is a little different than time in the Possiverse. It's like ten years earlier there than here," she explained.
"Anyways, traveling between realms incorrectly trapped me in a never aging body. So after Drake realized that it would be better to travel between dimensions the right way, he built a portal. He used it so much, that he used up all of the Negagem's power, stranding himself in the Possiverse, leaving his daughter alone with the psychotic Negaverse version of Launchpad," she said. Her eyes glinted with tears by the end of it.
"So what does this have to do with Negaduck?" Honker wondered. She was about to answer, but Drake climbed into the car. "Honker! Are you conversing with the enemy?" he asked upset. Launchpad sat in the passenger seat of the car. "It doesn't matter. I got Launchpad, let's go. NegaGosalyn, you better tell us everything you know about that Negaduck's plan," he said. He stared her down with the rearview mirror.
