'I was so desperate, I lost sight of everything but that goal'

Jungkook is sitting in front of a guy with glasses and a white coat, in front of a doctor.

"Regarding your mother's condition... Um does she have family besides you?" the doctor asked he seems not sure on how to talk with it with first year high schooler.

"My parents are divorced. My father and brother live in Seoul" Jungkook said, yes, him and his mother are the only one who move in Busan after the divorce.

"Then I should call your father or your brother first" the doctor suggested.

"I'm the only family staying with my mother" Jungkook said convincing the doctor.

The doctor just look at him and sigh.

"Any extended family?" the doctor asked again.

"No. Only me" Jungkook said.

The doctor seems to not too convince, Jungkook sigh and speak again.

"Right now, I'm the only one who can stay with my mother!" Jungkook said with slightly raised voice.

Jungkook is now in front of the door of his mother's hospital room.

When he opened the door he was greeted by his mother's beautiful smiling face.

"Oh, Kookie. What did the doctor say?" his mother Sumi asked.

Jungkook walk towards his mother's direction and sit beside her hospital bed.

"He says he won't know until he investigates a little more in detail" Jungkook said putting his bag on the floor.

"He wants you to check in so he can do some tests" Jungkook said.

"I see" his mom said and sigh.

"How's the back pain?" Jungkook asked.

"It's eased up quite a lot. They gave me some painkillers" his mom said and smile.

"You think it's hernia or something?" Jungkook asked leaning his arms on the bed rails.

"Hernias do hurt this much, don't they?" his mom said and smile but after she begin to cough again.

Jungkook is just staring at her with worried eyes, then he began to unbutton his suit to prepare staying there but his mom called him.

"Jungkookie" his mom called and Jungkook just hum.

"Don't worry about me. Go on home" his mom said while smiling her usual sweet smile.

"It seems mom caught a cold, too. We can't have you to catch it" his mom said.

"But just a little longer..." Jungkook said, his mom just chuckle at that making Jungkook to be convinced to go home.

"Okay, sure. I've got to get things ready for your hospital stay" Jungkook said and smile.

"I guess I'll go home for today" Jungkook said ang picked up his bag on the floor.

"Yeah" his mom agreed.

"I'll see you tomorrow, okay Mom?" Jungkook said before going out from the room.
