I use to be a N.E.S.T. soldier until let all of us go.
I don't know why and I hate it.
Looking back I remember all I did and had to face the fact that all those time I had fought.
The entire time of fighting...was it worth it.
The Autobots I foug...
That same sound repeated for almost a hour on this multi hour car ride.
My kids are upset since they can't get out of the car in the desert heat.
I sigh leaning back on the driver seat hearing the old mech grumble.
"Hide..."I said.
"I know. I'm sorry, I took a longer way to the place so the cons wouldn't follow. Do ya think I like the heat?"he said driving.
It true. He driving in direct sunlight. He could be roasting right now...but he using his cooling systems on my kids.
I look at the outline of the mountains.
"Go to one of those caves. We can rest there for awhile. At least until the heat dies down."I said with a light demand.
He drove to the side of the road and drove towards the caves in the hill side. It was small until we go inside. He sigh in relief feeling the cool shadows of the cave.
I got out and picked up my kids. They smiled running around playing in the main area of the cave.
I closed the door and he tranform almost as tall as the cave and stretched.
"You feeling okay?"I asked knowing that they must of not been use to constant driving or moving in one form for almost two hours or more.
Ironhide chuckled,"Imma just goin' to say. Your suggest it highly appreciated."he said sitting down onto the sand. Sitting back on the wall I could hear some metal creak from his legs.
I felt my whole body shiver...that did not sound good.
Lucas covered his ears and looked up at him,"Owe! Are you okay?"he asked running up under the old mech's arms.
"Sorry bout that kid. Imma just little rusty."he said and I came up looking at his pedes.
I bit my lip seeing why...
He was thought of offline for so long...
What can I do?
Ratchet taught me everything I could...hmmm.
I didn't care about personal business and just looked at his one pede that made a sound.
Ironhide moved his pede.
"What ya doing?"he asked.
"You have something stuck in there."I said and he pause looking at his leg,"Let me at least get it out for you.".
A upset grunt came from him and he turn away...
I frown and just jester for my kids to play.
Ava frown looking up at me. I smiled lifting her up on my hip. She wrap her legs around me as I pulled my bag off my back. I open up a mini bottles and gave my kids some water. Lucas sat down on my lap and Ava just relaxed next to him. I had my phone in my hand and moved a hammer to my other.
"Mommie? What are you doing?"Ava asked sweetly.
"Mommie protect us."I answered.
"You mean Me and Lucas. And you?"she asked.
"No."I said and seen the old mech look from his helm turn facing us sort of,"I am protecting you, your brother, and Ironhide. Okay.".
They nod.
"Oh! That means we are knights going on a adventure!"he said and I laughed.
"That is right Lucas. You know, Ironhide can tell you all kinds of storied of adventure and even times when he first met me."I look at him seeing...a look of unsure trust.
What happen to him?
Ava got up and ran up to him.
"It that true? Did you go on adventures? Did you fight bad guys?"she spoke with a small speak in her voice.
Ironhide looked at her.
"I have experience things that ya may never see in your life, squirt."he said and I could hear a small humm.
It was a few hours and they were all interacting with each other. I sit away leaning on the wall feeling the sun burn my skin.
Ava and Lucas were asleep on my blanket.
I watched the sun head for the horizon with streams of light reflecting of the entire cave wall.
Ironhide was relaxing against the same spot in the cave wall not talking to me.
Something must of happen that he doesn't want me to help him.
I closed my eyes and let my hair hang over my face before the sunset. I start to feel the cool come into the darken air from outside. I open my bag and moved about three blankets on top of my kids and I lean back on the cave wall.
I closed my eyes listening to my surrounding.
"Do ya not have any blankets for ya self?"Ironhide's voice said and I slowly open my eyes seeing him look at me from his spot.
"They need they blankets since they get cold easy."I said closing my eyes.
It went quiet and I felt something appear on my lap. I look to see the blanket Ironhide made appeared. I seen my kids moved and they curl up close together.
I frown and took off my coat setting. I got up and set it on them as well as the blanket.
I heard him grumble until I turn my back on him.
I was walking back to my spot and I heard him about to move.
"Bailey.".
Ironhide said once and I turn to him seeing a eye optic expression.
I turn my back showing what he was looking at.

"You were thinking I was going to turn you in...weren't you?"I asked seeing the same expression from him,"I was offer to work for them, I turn down the offer. I know you must of went through some scrap, but I promise one thing. And that to all of you Autobot.".
Ironhide optics were widen in shock still,"I will always be loyal to you.".
(Ironhide's POV) I online quickly from a night terror...or dream. I look around seeing I am in the cave and the kids-I froze seeing them sleep right next to my neck cables.
