They carefully ascended the mountain just a little bit more, taking advantage of a few more potions on the way, (which seemed like forever even though it was only an hour-ish more of walking), until they finally reached the entrance of the Southern Mines. The Gorons there were pretty busy and didn't acknowledge them at first until they began walking closer. Thankfully Sidon was well enough to stand on his own now, though the heat from nearby lava was enough to make him a bit weak, despite the effects of the potion.
Yunobo was working away at the rocks cluelessly, while plenty of the others turned to watch Sidon in his valor, as he was both the tallest thing there and also the most non-Goron thing there. As soon as they approached Yunobo, the looming shadow from behind was enough to startle him out of his work, causing him to turn around quickly and stare up a mere two feet to a Zora, which he had never seen even once in his life.

Sidon was about to greet the Goron, but as soon as he opened his mouth to speak, Yunobo covered his head in fear, activating Daruk's Protection in the process. "I'm not that scary to look at, am I?" He asked quietly, and Zelda laughed awkwardly.

"I think it's probably the teeth..." She replied, watching as Yunobo slightly peeked out from underneath his arms. She waved at him invitingly, and then pulled Link over to do the same, to which the Goron finally slowly replied.

"The Queen? And Link...?" Yunobo was timid as he spoke, but thankfully he eventually uncovered his face. He looked straight at the two Hylians with worrisome eyes, frowning as if he had done something wrong. "Um...why are you here-goro? N-Not to be rude or anything...but I'm kind of busy."

Sidon was slightly disturbed by the fact that this Goron was so lousy and slouched in front of the Queen herself, and he couldn't help but get a bit fired up. In fact, he brought his fist to his chest with a pound because of his unmatched enthusiasm. "Straighten up! That's no way to present yourself!" He scolded the boy boldly and watched as Yunobo did just as he said, standing as tall as possible, though after a moment Sidon realized just how privileged he sounded and flushed from embarrassment, even clearing his throat nervously. "F-Forgive me, I may have spoken out of turn. I mean no ill intention toward you." He bowed ever so slightly to show how apologetic he was.

The champion descendant Goron went wide-eyed when Sidon bowed his head, waving his large hands in a chaotic attempt to make it known that he wasn't offended. "N-No, you're totally...right. I'm not used to getting visitors-goro. I'm sorry I acted that way." He folded his hands together as a way of asking for forgiveness from the Queen. She was both in shock and awe at the series of events that unfolded between the two, and yet she didn't understand why they were so formal toward her.

"It's not really a big deal, Yunobo. Don't worry about having to act all fancy around me. I'm nothing like my father." She reassured him with a smile and then looked toward Sidon, who was grinning one of his famous toothy grins at Yunobo. Thankfully the boy smiled back instead of getting scared again, followed by the nervous tick of him scratching behind his head. Huh. Maybe it was just Daruk's family in general. "Um, the reason we're all here is because I would like to...um... Well, I want you to join us. I came here to appoint you as Champion. It's only natural that a descendant of Daruk, and a skilled problem-solver such as yourself should be given the title. I have no doubt that you'll feel right at home with us." She explained herself thoroughly, and both Sidon and Link nodded affirmatively in response.

"Um...thank you-goro. It means a lot that you have that much faith in me. I hope you'll be patient—I still haven't mastered using large weapons. But I can protect you all, for what it's worth..." He unenthusiastically replied, his beady eyes glimmering with uncertainty. "Sorry. I'm not really sure about this. I want to accept, but I'm nervous-goro." He admitted, and Zelda put her hands over his comfortingly.
