Sighing and feeling tears come into her eyes, she pulled out her phone and texted him again.

Nya: Kai, dinners ready. You should be getting home soon

Nya: Okay you kissed dinner, that's fine.

Nya: Kai?

Nya: Kai..?

Nya: Kai!

Nya: Kai answer me please!

Nya: It's been four hours

She sighed shakily and bit her lip, trying not to cry and disturb Cole, who had cake down wi ty a cold as was trying to keep it off. Kai still hasn't answered her, and he went on a mission eight hours ago.

He was expected to be back before dinner, and when he didn't return, the others just assumed something held him up or he was visiting Skylor.

But then an hour passed, and he still wasn't back.

Then another hour.

And another.

And another.

And many more.

A stray tear ran down her cheek, trying her best to keep the anxiety for her brother as low as possible; but it's almost 12am and this was getting severely worrying. He wasn't answering anything from anyone, she had even gone to call her parents to ask them but they haven't heard from him either.

And once Skylor came from her shift, she even went to ask her if he'd been to see her, and she said that she got to come home early to see him, and when she found out he wasn't back yet, she began worrying too.

She inhaled and exhaled a few times, before sending him a text.

Nya: Kai it's been ages, it's 12 am in the morning and you're really starting to scare me now.

Kai 🦔 was Last online on 2nd May, 11:43 am.

She quickly checked the time now.

Tuesday 3rd May, 12:04 am.

This would've been a good time to test out the new trackers; because if they worked then Kai would be home by now!

She couldn't take this anymore. She grabbed her keys, her phone, a hoodie and some shoes, then put the hoodie over her pjs and walked out of her and Cole's shared room to go and find her brother.

She was tired and cold enough as it was, but she wasn't going to do anything until she knows that Kai is back home, and he's safe. And he's okay.

Trudging over to the doors, her shaky hand reached closer and closer to the door handle, and just when she was about to-

"Nya?"

She turned around to see the freckled boy that she loved, tiredly walking out to the corridor and noticing his yang about to leave. He ruffled his hair and straightened up, eyebrow raising in confusion of why she's leaving.
