Lolo was just shocked kaya na-highblood siya. Sa sobrang saya niya, nahimatay siya. I was so nervous. Damn it. Nandito pa rin kami sa hospital. Sa public room ko lang inilagay si Lolo, madidischarge rin naman siya mamaya.

Dahil nandito na rin kami sa hospital, nagpacheck up na rin ako sa ob-gyne. Nanghingi rin ako ng vitamins. Pinapabalik niya ako every first and last day of the month. Three months bago malaman ang gender ng baby. And I'm so excited. I turned the tv on. Napatingin ang mga tao sa loob ng public room nang in-on ko ang tv.

"Breaking news, Trek Almodovar broke the engagement off. The business tycoon Trek Almodovar, admitted that the engagement is for business partnership only. Now that the Delgado Group of Companies filed a bankcruptcy, the company doesn't need them anymore. "Nagdedeliryo ka lang, Lolo," malamig kong saad na nakatingin pa rin sa tv.

Nahagip ng tingin ko ang green mangoes sa side table ng stretcher ni Lolo kaya agad akong kumuha ng isa at binalatan ito. Pansin ko ang pananahimik ni Lolo. Tila malalim ang iniisip. Isinubo ko ang mangga at para akong nasa langit sa sarap. Napapikit pa ako. Natigil ako sa pagnguya ng mangga nang nagtanong si Lolo.

"Do you know whose the father of your child, Rinia?" napakurap ako at tumango.

Binaba ko ang mangga na nasa platito at nilagay sa side table niya.

"Who?" he strictly asked.

I looked up to him and stared deeply into his eyes. It just felt like staring into my own eyes in the mirror. My eyes shows emptiness. We have the same eyes but his shows full. His full soul. Like one look to him, you will know what kind of man he is. Unlike mine, my eyes are empty and full of mystery. I bit the insides of my cheek to stop myself from talking. I sighed.

"Hindi mo na dapat pang malaman, Lolo. Hindi siya importante," saad ko at kinuha ulit ang platito ng mangga.

He sighed like he lost on something.

Napatingin kami sa nurse na paparating sa direksyon namin.

"You're discharged, Mr. Sarmiento," saad ng nurse habang chinicheck ulit ang temperature at bp ni Lolo.

My Lolo and I agreed to keep my pregnancy secret as we can. Hindi na ako bumalik pa sa office. When we got home, papa's angry face faced us. Patakbong lumapit sa amin si Pao, ang bunso nila ni Tita Imelda. Napatingin ako kay Toni, ang fourteen year old na panganay nila. She rolled her eyes. She grew bratty and she will probably grow bitchy. Just like her cousin. Yumakap si Pao sa tiyan ko. Kunot-noo akong napatingin sa kanya. He's just 5 years old.

"Ate, carry me," he said as he spread his arms. Napakurap ako.

He is small yet thick. He looks light. Napatingin ako kila Tita Imelda at kay papa.

You see, I don't really know how to jam with kids. I know how to take care of babies but kids? No, I don't think so. I learned how to hush the baby, change her diapers and make her milk when Harriet asked me and Ritz to take care of her daughter, Klarrett, when she and her husband, Klouze, goes to a date on their wedding anniversary. Damn. It was traumatic. Ang lakas ng iyak ni Klarrett. Inihian pa ako sa mukha. Sana naman hindi maging ganyan kamaldita ang magiging anak ko. I carried him and brought him to his room.
