Innocence {M.C.}

Chapter 6

I was currently sitting I my couch wallowing in self pity. I feel like I deserved some time for it considering a guy I though ha genuine feelings for me didn't. I mean it was only yesterday. But I guess nobody wanted to give me that time because I heard the doorbell ring as it made it's way through my house. I got up and started walking to the door.
"I got it Maria" I called to our made to stop her from beating me to the door.
"Okay sweetie." she yelled back sweetly. A smile slipped onto my face as I heard her reply.

I had finally got to the door and was very surprised in who I found on the other side.
"Michal?" I said scaring him from where he had been distracted from gawking at my house. I don't know why he was gawking. It may be big but it was empty an there were no special touches to it. So to me this house was the ugliest I had ever seen.

"Oh! Hey Annette." he said while scratching behind his head. I then saw his eyes make their way down my body and back up again before meeting me eyes. Why did he do that? I was just in my sleep shorts and a tank top. I didn't understand boys.

"Sooo" I said after awhile of him continuing to ogle my body. "What did you need Michael?" It seemed like I snapped him out of a trance because he jumped and met my eyes.

"Oh yea." he said suddenly turning shy. I had never seen Michael act like this. It was quite a site to behold. I took this moment to take my turn to look him up and down. My knees almost buckled at the very sight of him. He looked so good. He was wearing a hat and a light jacket because it was quite windy today. I don't know how he looked so good in that, but he did. My eyes returned to his after a few seconds just in time for him to look back at me.

" Uhh. I found this at the party and guessed it was yours. Because I remember you used to be obsessed with cats and I saw the cat case and you said you lost you phone and"

"Thank you Michael but you can stop rambling." I said which made him blush an hold out the phone for me to take.

"Thanks again Michael....Would you like to come in?" I asked awkwardly. He happily nodded his head and I moved over so he could walk through the door.

As he walked in he looked up and around our huge entryway. He started to take his shoes off but I grabbed his arm which made him freeze. The fire I had felt in the car returned and shot itself up my arm and down to my center again.

'What is wrong with me!?' I thought as I drew my hand back.

" You don't have to take your shoes off if you don't want to." I said suddenly shy.

"No it's okay." He said with his voice much lower than it had been when he arrived. Weird. He continued to take his shoes off and stood up when he was done.

"Do you want to go hang out in my room?" I asked looking down at my hands which were clasped tightly together. He cleared his throat before replying.

"Sure. If you want to hang out." he said just as nervously as I had. I knew why we were both nervous. This was uncharted territory. We haven't talked this much since we were little kids.

"I do. Let's go" I said with a sudden burst of confidence. I grabbed his hand and started up the stairs. The fire was festering in between our palms the longer we held on. I didn't mind as much anymore, it was just making me uncomfortable but it wasn't a bad uncomfortable if that made sense.

It probably didn't but, he made me feel like I have never felt before. I felt different and more confident and more beautiful. He just looked at me a way that set my whole body alight. I don't know how or why, but I didn't want to lose it.

Short filler because I felt horrible. I haven't written this one if FOREVER!! And it's bad because I LOVE this book I've just been stupidly busy. But I'm getting back to writing this one. I'm gonna try to update again tomorrow night so that's good.

But again this was just a filler because next chapter some "stuff 😏" is going to happen so yea.
