'So why do you act the way you act?'
'If you feel neglected by your momma, lied to by your dad and ignored or pushed off to the side to see what your friends say about your family true, you tell me why.'
'You ever told them you feel this way?'
'I tried to tell my mom but Riyah and Jasiah and she went to tryna play captain save a hoe. She told me we'll talk abut it later. Did it happen? Nope. She forgot all about me.'
'So when did you start feeling anger towards your sisters?'
'I started with Riyah when she moved in with Jasiah and she didn't call for weeks. I started with Kaden when she got wit hr boyfriend and started acting different.'
'Different how?'
'She started distancing herself from me. I usually talk to her about stuff if not Riyah. When she got with him, she stopped and just gave me excuses on why she couldn't talk. She talked to him all the time but never made time for me.'
'Okay. So with Riyah it started when she moved with her boyfriend. What do you mean by that?'
'When she left, she told me and Kaden that she would keep in touch and wouldn't leave us hanging for him. Me feeling neglected by everyone else, I took that to heart and expected her to stick by it. 2 weeks went by then 4 then 6. I had to get my momma to call her and ask her could she come see us. I already feel like everybody else gave up on me and the person who used to listen ain't here no more and taking out the time to check up in me or Kaden anymore. So it added on to the pain I already felt.'
'So yo get your point across, you threw your moms and Riyah past in their face?'
'It got their attention didn't it?'
'Ok. You already feel neglected by your mom and sisters. And lied to your dad. You think throwing that in they face gone help them coke back to you? You driving all of'em away with your hurtful words.'
'Well now they see how it feels. To be betrayed, hurt, and lost on where everything went wrong. They see where I'm coming from.'
'Okay. Are you willing to have a family session to tell them how you feel?'
'Sure.'
'And it will be done respectfully.'
'Yes ma'am.'
